Edit: Also, to be fair, Charlie is no more a seducer than he is a saint.

no matter what side you pick, the reward is useless to you.
dark seducer/golden saint gear and the ability to summon the one whose side you picked. although this is useful for a while, but seeing as though they're really not that different and you can summon the other one at the end of the story line, when you HAVE ASCENDED, NONE MAY STAND BEFORE ME

the gear is not nearly as good as what you already have. it's not even enchanted and what are you going to do? USE A WEAPON THAT ISN'T YOUR FISTS THAT ARE MADE OF STEEEEEEL?
