Welcome Now to OBLIVION! An Elder Scrolls Let's Play.
Someone actually informed me of this only a few days ago.Aranai wrote:I registered for two reasons: One, to thank you for this remarkably entertaining LP.
Two, a mechanical doodad that should make you pop flyin'. The way the spellmaking engine works, Lv25 is the maximum level you can apply to several effects (IE: Frenzy, Demoralize, Command Humanoid, etc.). Therefore, any spell that states Lv25 will affect a target of any level.
Just thought I'd share. Awesome LP, it's kept me quite entertained.
You were only a few days away from giving me awesome advice.
Now, for the rest of your life, you will look back on this moment and say "WHY COULDN'T I HAVE BEEN JUST A FEW DAYS SOONER? WWWWHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYY!?"

Well, although that cave thing turned out to be a failure, I really don't want to have to deal with the duke and duchess right now. I guess I may as well find that guys medallion.

After I head to New Sheoth and sell my extra stuff, that is.
Also, look at the price I am getting for those order swords.
I don't think I need to explain.

According to Queston, those Grummites that took that guys medallion are in a cave somewhere. WHAT FUN.

The cave is, of course, guarded by armed Grummites.
I really don't like Grummites.
I really don't.

Wow, this cave looks exactly the same as the one before! Amazing!

Except, the other cave didn't have strange plants that try to eat me. How exactly do those things manage to bite me despite the fact their perfectly circular mouths would lack the capability to bit anything?

The other cave also wasn't filled with angry Grummites.

FIghting enemies next to plants that cause paralysis can lead to some pretty interesting (and by "interesting" I mean "hilarious") situations where you punch each other, fall over paralyzed, get back up, hit each other a few more times, fall over from paralysis again, get back up, hit each other, fall down, etc.

The other cave also didn't have what appears to be some sort of crudely built base/camp.
Okay, so maybe this cave is nothing like the other one.

GRUMMITES
THEY BE EVERYWHERE
THIS DISPLEASES ME

Geez, look at this mess. I'm surprised I manage to survive all of this.
I can hear that scarred-for-life Grummite now. "Hey, guys, I'm back from therapy! Boy, I sure am glad you guys let me stay here with you since I no longer had a place to stay since my friends were all killed at Xedil- OH GOD THE BODIES IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN EXCEPT WORSE THIS TIME I THINK I AM GOING TO THROW UP WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO ME"

Anyway, I find Stupid McDumbface's medallion in a chest nearby the pile of dead bodies.

At this point, Grummites probably see me as some sort of invincible monster. They probably tell their children stories about me to make sure they behave. I'm probably the Grummite boogeyman by now!
I head back to Stupid McDumbface's place.

Except... I wasn't in a bog. I was in a cave.
YOUR NOSE IS A TERRIBLE FAILURE AND YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD.

Despite "not knowing how to thank me", he immediately gives me a magic shield as a reward.

It's valuable, but useless to me since I can't use shields anyway.
I decide to pickpocket him and his girlfriend/wife/lover/whatever to make up for it.

They have some of the best stuff I have ever pickpocketed off someone. There's a reason for this, actually. Normally, people have their weapon equipped at all times, just not drawn. Since you can't pickpocket equipped items, this usually means that I can't steal their weapons. However, these people, for some reason, just keep their weapons in their inventory, allowing me to steal them.
Well, I'm not complaining!

Huh. Apparently, although it didn't get me any matrices, my cave adventures have gotten me a LOT of amber. I decide to use it to...

Get THIS! I have full amber now! AWESOME! I LOOK SO COOL I MEAN LOOK AT THAT STUFF IT IS AWESOME.
However, if I am going to maximize my effectiveness, I should probably mix and match a bit.

This is what I end up with.

However, since you guys love the apron so much, I decide to switch back to that, too, despite the fact I would probably be better off without it. Oh well, at least its intelligence boost is great for healing.
I am now wearing exactly the same armor I was before I got the amber. Huh.

Well, that was an enormous waste of time.
