Well, I'd better get on the road again. Murdering half a town is hard work, but THERE IS STILL MORE TO DO.
What's this? This hill is covered in
ghosts. I thought this was
nice neighborhood!
The ghosts all refuse to speak to me. What jerks. I try to punch them to death, but I can't on a account of them being... you know, ghosts.
Anyway, according to the map, this place is the hill of suicides. Apparently, people who commit suicide in the Shivering Isles have there souls sent here for eternity. It is certainly a fate worse than death. Err, the normal kind, I should say.
WELL, LET'S MOVE ON.
Hey, a fire? That must mean there is a village down there!
Oh god that is not a village that is an enormous fish monster that is the exact opposite of a village
He wasn't alone. There was also one of those giant bug things, and another fish monster.
Thus, I end up having to
run awaaaay
I search all over the Shivering Isles for a cave. I'm pretty sure that's the best place to find an Amber Matrix. However, caves here are
not easy to find.
For some reason.
Hey, is that a house? I must be nearing a village! I hope they want people murdered like the last one!
...Have you ever wondered why these villages are all so
small?
So, apparently some guy with a stupid name needs help. What fun. I doubt he wants someone murdered, either, based on this lady's tone.
Why is it that these people
always want to ask me for help? It's always like "Oh, hello, nice to meet you, now go do this errand for me. NOW."
Cheydinhal? Isn't that really, REALLY far away from the strange door? Isn't it kind of overreacting to travel
all the way to Bravil to go do something about it? Why can't you just let them handle it?
So, anyway, he wants me to go into some stupid cave to get his stupid medallion which is stupid.
I mean, obviously I accept the quest, in case I want to do it later, but I doubt I ever will. You know, because it's stupid.
Anyway, I
finally find a cave! I bet I'll find all sorts of magical amber matrices in here!
The place looks as messed up as you would expect in a realm like this.
Unfortunately, it has the kind of messed up
monsters you would expect in a place like this, too.
A hallowed stump? It probably just contains some useless alchemy ingredients...
Woah!
That is way better than I expected!
THAT IS MUCH BETTER THAN I EXPECTED!
You know nature hates you when even the trees try to kill you.
A HALLOWED AMBER STUMP!?
Oh boy, I bet it contains like a
million matrices!
Orrrr it just contains some amber.
Okay then.
OH WAIT ANOTHER STUMP I'LL BET I GET THAT MATRIX THIS TI-
TARNATION
Deeper in the cave, I find some fish monsters. These ones are
yellow, however!
WHAT AN ENORMOUS CHANGE!
I also find the corpse of a woman who was probably brutally killed by the caves inhabitants.
Based on the fact that she has a name and her bow
also has a unique name, I'm guessing she is quest related. It's sort of sad that she died here where no one will ever find her body and that her body will simply rot rather than get a proper burial.
Anyway, I loot her corpse, take the bow, and leave the cave.
Well, that was just one big enormous waste of time.
