Girls? Why is it plural? Fancy-Name Marie could be considered cute, I guess, but every other female I killed that update either had a tiny, misshapen face or was a lizard.

Also, I think Shadowmere is a she not a he. Part of its name does sound like "mare" after all.

It's ok, she doesn't mind and it's not like she doesn't magically heal or anything

Well, Shadowmere is essentially a zombie (since she actually dies and comes back to life rather than just get knocked unconscious like other essential NPCs). Plus, when you put stuff on her dead body, it's possible you are just putting it under her saddle or something. After all, when I loot the bodies of dead bandits it isn't like their armor is under their skin or something.

It's not possible to get a wolf pelt without taking pelt off of a wolf, but their appearance doesn't change when you do in the game, so I think it stands to reason that this game doesn't always make sense

It's not possible to get a wolf pelt without taking pelt off of a wolf, but their appearance doesn't change when you do in the game, so I think it stands to reason that this game doesn't always make sense

Maybe the pelts just belonged to other wolves, and the only reason you find them on wolves is because the wolf you found it on had killed a different wolf and took it's pelt as a trophy.

It makes about as much sense as anything else in the game.
