I dug through all my old quests to find something to do and hey look what I found.
IT SHOULD BE VERY INTERESTING
I fast-travel to Bruma.
...You know, sometime it creeps me out how the rest of the Punch Misers just
stare at me.
TO THE INN
There's the lender-guy.
I'd better talk to him.
Based on the fact he's wearing armor and the fact that lenders are always evil in these kinds of stories I will probably have to kill him before this is over.
Wow, unlike other people who just vaguely say "I don't want to talk about it"
this guy goes right out and says "IF I LIKED YOU MORE I WOULD TELL YOU SO FIX THAT"
AND I DID
Is it cheddar?
I bet it is cheddar.
IT'S ALWAYS cheddar
...That's not cheddar at all.
Uh okay yeah I probably can.
...And, since I have no other option for conversation, what happens if I
don't get the axe?
Oh I see.
How cliche'.
Well, I'd better go get that axe then. I'm sure you'll be dead before this whole thing is over.
And he even gives me a boat! Nice!
...This boat has no oars...
Somehow I am able to use it to get to the island anyway. I guess I just sort of paddle with my arms or something.
Unfortunately, none of my underlings are here.
Thanks to the ma
gic of "Fast-traveling to the place I am already in" I easily fix that, though.
Hey, even Shadowmere is here. It's been a while since I've seen her, since she is a horse and thus has to be kept in a stable whenever I go into a town.
Which is often.
Somehow Martin manage to find a horse, too.
I wish he told me about that earlier.
The gate to the keep is locked. After looking for a REALLY LONG TIME, I find the switch to open it
right next to the daisies door.
I can be kind of an idiot sometimes.
I head in and find what's his face.
Wow, that was easy. Now I just have to get back and-
What
Yet again, what
What 3x combo
What 4x combo 2x score multiplier added
What 5x combo 3x score multiplier added time bonus awarded
What 6x combo 4x score multiplier added extra life awarded
Well, this is more interesting than I expected (combo broken)
So apparently I have to kill the hunters to get the key.
Sounds simple enough.
Jolly good then.
Unfortunately for me, most of my underlings are locked outside the gate.
At least I still have Reynald.
Also I just realized that I have been calling Reynald "Jerome" for some reason and I apologize for that.
After we enter the keep, Guilbert somehow magically appears out of nowhere.
Weird.
Suddenly, a hunter who I was unable to get a good picture of attacks!
He is quickly taken down.
He has a key on his body, which I take. It is not the key to leave, though.
It turns out this place is loaded with traps, which Reynald discovers the hard way.
ANOTHER HUNTER ATTACKS
And another one is dead.
Man, I bet if that guy were alive right now, he would really want a refund.
I find another key on him.
It is a mystery as to what they are for
It turns out they were for a door.
WHAT A SHOCKING TWIST
However, since you need the keys to get through the door, and I am the only one with the keys, Guilbert and Reynald have to be left behind.
Looks like I'll have to deal with the last hunter alone.
Oh hey look a bed.
...Well, I may as well take a small nap...
Holy shit, a level-up.
We haven't had one of those in a while.
...I wonder where that last hunter is. He's probably-
Oh wait there he is.
He hits me with his mace, but I knock it out of his hands with a counter-punch. He reaches for the mace but I quickly kick it away.
He rushes to get it, but I beat him there and take it before he can.
We then engage in a grand match of
fisticuffs
A match which I win.
Obviously.
After I take his armor, I discover that the guy had a dorky little bun in his hair.
Haha, what a dork.
Well, time to get out of here.
Hey, Reynald, I have a present for you.
Now you get to look
threatening!
Enjoy that!
As I make my way into the keep, I find Jauffre and Martin.
Somehow they managed to make it through the locked gate I guess.
It would be nice if they told me about that earlier.
I exit the keep and- oh crap that Orc guy who is running this whole thing just killed that guy I was supposed to rescue.
You can't really see him in this picture but that is because
I am unable to move
The orc then starts walking toward me, like he is about to say something.
However, my underlings all yell something along the lines of
"MURDER" and then they start
swarming him.
It is not pretty.
Holy crap guys.
That was
brutal.
He had an enchanted Daedric claymore. I give it to Guilbert. It should help him compensate for that feminine outfit he is forced to wear.
Yep, Aleron is one-hundred percent dead.
That is a shame.
Man, I hope his wife doesn't get too upset when I tell her. I've never had to deal with anything like this before, and I don't think my end-all solution of "punch it" will work with this one.
I open the gate and take the boat back to Bravil.
Oh man I hope she doesn't start crying or anything.
I am not used to having to deliver news like this.
Actually, she is taking this rather well.
I tell her orc-man is dead.
You... don't seem very upset that your husband was brutally murdered.
But... I didn't even manage to do what you asked me to...
Ah, what the hell, I'm not complaining, I'll take it anyway.
Mmkay. Have fun with that.
She gave me a book.
It raises my speechcraft skill.
Woohoo.
Well, that was interesting.
...I am not sure what to do now, though...
