We find Charlie Manhuge where we left him last: beating a man to death.
Looks like you lucky dorks get to find out who was behind me now!

It was Lucien!
He seems pretty upset that I killed this guy. Maybe he wanted to do it. Or something.
He's probably just jealous of how badass I looked.

Geez, man, calm down. There'll be other contracts. I'm sure you'll have your chance to look badass.
It isn't like it's that big a deal.

...Wait, wait, wait!
You were planning to end my life because I looked more badass than you!?
...Wow, talk about over-reacting...

...
We are talking about two completely different things, aren't we?

...I did?
I mean, yeah, it sounds like the kind of thing I would do, but you'd think that murdering all of my superiors would be the kind of thing I'd remember.

Well, sorry, I really didn't kno-
...Wait, J'Ghasta? SERIOUSLY? That bare-handed fighter I easily murdered? He was a Black Hand member!?
I mean, it doesn't surprise me that he was easy to kill, as pretty much everyone is these days, but you'd think he would respond differently when I told him that "Sithis invited me" when I attempted to sound all sinister. You'd think that, as a Black Hand member, he would take that as meaning that I had some important news regarding the Dark Brotherhood or something.
The Dark Brotherhood is probably better off without him.

Wait, they think I'm innocent? Really? So I don't have anything to worry about?
Neat.
Sucks to be you, though.

That really isn't my problem.

*Sigh*
Okay, fine, I'll help prove your innocence. But I'm only doing it because it sounds like I'm going to get to kill people.

Well, odd choice of meeting place, but okay.
I guess I'd better head to that dead drop, then.

I head to Anvil.
Apparently, my next dead drop is in a barrel around here.

I stand on the statue and wait.
I'm not sure why Lucien expected me to be able to get here before the dead drop was placed in the barrel. I mean, it's not like anything happened that would have hastened my arrival or anything.

Aha! That must be the traitor!

Oh, wait, never mind, it is just a guy working for the traitor.

So apparently the traitor lives in a light house.
I'd better head over there.

But not before I make sure that this accomplice has been taken care of.

There's the light house.
It's very conveniently located right outside Anvil.

The owner doesn't seem to be home right now.

Luckily, he turns out to be right outside.
Time to get that key.
I decide to ask nicely. For once.

I decide to say nothing. I seem to be bothering him, and I'm trying to be polite for once.

Wait, what?

You are going to attack me because I bothered you?
Seriously?

I think he may be starting to regret that decision.

Well, that settles that little dispute.
I'm glad we could come to an agreement.
Anyway, I take the key and head into that basement.
Inside I find:

A dead dog,

A dead woman,

A dead sheep,

A dead pile of dead body parts and blood stains,

A dog that Martin makes dead,

A dead man,

And a dead severed head.
...I get the impression that this man was not mentally healthy...

I find the traitor's diary.
It only reinforces my impression that this man was inside.
It's a bit long for me to show you the whole thing, but are the important/interesting parts.

Okay so it turns out that the whole thing was important/interesting so I just ended up posting the whole thing.
Sue me.
Before I leave the basement, I decide to take the severed head of the traitor's mother with me.
You never know when a severed head might come in handy.

Anyway, now that I have that journal, I head over to that place Lucien told me to meet him at.

Inside I find a bunch of people in black robes and a rotting corpse.
None of them seem to be Lucien.

Oh, you found the traitor, mysterious-person-who-I-never-met?
So I did that investigating for nothing?
...Oh well, at least I got to kill a few people.

Wait, you mean, you killed Lucien?
Uhhh...
I... think you may have been a little off on your assumption...

No, really, you seriously have a traitor among you who is probably still alive.
And you just killed a loyal member for no reason.
This is kind of important.

...You aren't listening to me, are you?

...Yeah, sorry about that, by the way.
Really, though, the traitor-

...
Okay, you know what? I give up. Fine. Whatever. Lucien was the traitor. He was the whole time. You aren't completely wrong at all.
Now, what stupid thing do you want me to do next?

Okay, then. I'll go. When the traitor ends up picking all of you off one by one, though, don't come crying to me.
...Although, you probably couldn't anyway, on account of being dead...

Apparently, that rotting corpse was Lucien.
For some who was killed so recently, he is really in horrible shape. He looks like he's been dead for months.
Was it really too much effort to make a new model for Lucien's corpse, developers? Hell, you could have just put his regular dead body on the floor. It would have made more sense.

Well, that entire situation went horribly.
At least nobody blames me, I guess.
