I... can't play this game. Mainly because when ever I turn on one of the visions I lag like crap. And... how hard would it be to put an arrow pointing where you're getting shot from? I spend most of the rounds wondering around wondering "where the hell is everyone?" before I die seemingly out of nowhere.

You must be playing on a commodore 64 or something. I'm on a 6 year old PC and the game runs just fine even with vision modes on. The only place I have troubles with are those spinning things in skyline, drops me down to 10 FPS if I look at more than two of them. It's only a source game, it's not resource demanding in the slightest.

Hit direction indicators would make silenced weapons pointless. Recons, and sometimes assaults, rely on killing people, especially supports with their ridiculous armor, without them realizing they are getting hit and kill them before they can find them. Adding hit indicators would make it too easy for people to spin around and pop a couple of shots into a recon

Neo Tokyo is all about tactics. You need to be constantly aware of your surroundings, know where the enemies will be coming from, and know where enemy recons might be sneaking by. Utilize choke points, recons will not get by you in choke points, they would have to flank you, so keep in contact with your team mates that are covering other choke points. Take a look at your team mates and where they are going, so if you see them die you know enemies will be coming from that direction. Supports are a good choice to watch because they are almost always going to camp choke points.

Yeah, I was feeling pretty bitter last night. I knew I was going to suck, I just didn't expect it to be that much. It's not as bad as I thought, I was just getting a pretty ticked off. I did comparatively better today. You made several valid points there.

I don't know why I lag. I have to have all the settings except the resolution turned all the way down in half-life to run it well, even though I meet the recommended requirements. The game itself puts the recommended settings with just about everything at max. I turn on a vision and my fps just goes straight down to about 3-5 fps. It runs pretty good otherwise. I blame vista.

Anyway, to anyone who's reading this, Neotokyo is awesome and you should play it!
