Me, my bro and some random online person killed Gogmazios today.
It was way easier than I thought, none of us died and I only had about 580 Blademaster Defence.

And I had fun riding around on the cart thing and firing multiple cannonballs into its face.

Oh yeah. I also made another really nice set. A set that DESTROYS things weak to dragon.


Lookit dat 910 Dragon element.

Should be a nice weapon to use on Crimson Fatalis when I run short on cheddar.

wow, thats a lot of dragon element. but it's too bad that it does not so many raw damage (the "normal" stat)
so i came with an idea, if we combine arcana and dragon attack+3 with the black fatalis hammer?
here is the result,

edit : oh i forgot to tell more about me, i'm a big fan of light bowguns and great swords, but i know how to use every weapons (except hunting horn, sword and shield, and Lances). i also can tell you good mixes of armors for many different gameplay and weapons (such as a full DPS lightbowgun, which can be very useful against diablos and rajang) i hope i'll meet you online guys.

Actually I think my raw attack on my dragon weapon is good considering it's a Longsword which don't typically get as much raw on them as hammers do. :p
Plus since Longswords are faster I can get even more use out of the Dragon element.

Not that I'm saying hammers are bad, I use the seregios hammer a lot. Just depends on the monster for me.

i agree that longswords are globally faster than hammer, but you under estimate the tornado move ( which does like 4 or 5 hits ) so with this move, both weapons are mostly equal in my opinion.

i agree that longswords are globally faster than hammer, but you under estimate the tornado move ( which does like 4 or 5 hits ) so with this move, both weapons are mostly equal in my opinion.

I wouldn't expect someone to spam the spin attack with a hammer. Plus it really hurts that you're stuck in it while doing it, any non-low-rank monster wouldn't give you the chance to constantly use that attack compared to a Longsword user capable of dodging between attacks.
Also if a monster jumps out of the way at the start, you're stuck being an open target without dealing much damage.

Actually you can cancel out of the spin attack by pressing the attack button again.

Yeah you can cancel the spin attack but that in itself is an attack that monsters can interrupt and send you flying as a result of trying to use it at the wrong time

In other news, finally got off my butt and did the Gog event. I have all the stuff for the GX Tempest armor except the Stygian Skymerald. Ugh.

At least I only had to do the quest a couple of times. Thanks rewards box for giving me three tickets in two of the three successful quests I did.

Is it absolutely FUCKING NECESSARY for that god fucking daisies Medulla to not only be rare, but only have TWO GODDAMN WAYS TO FUCKING GET IT?

I have done the fucking Hunt-A-Thon over and over again, cut off fucking tails all over the fucking place, tried subquest farming, everything. I've been at this ALL FUCKING DAY. I'VE SPENT FUCKING HOURS ON THIS AND NOTHING TO FUCKING SHOW FOR IT.

Why is that necessary? How does that improve the game in the FUCKING SLIGHTEST?

I am completely fucking mad. There is no reason it should be THIS FUCKING HARD TO GET ONE FUCKING THING IN A FUCKING GAME THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE FUN AND RELAXING.

I'VE GOTTEN AT LEAST FOUR FUCKING WYVERN GEMS FROM SUBQUEST FARMING, SAME CHANCE AS MEDULLA.

I know I was exaggerating at "Well over 150" but considering 3 carves plus a shiny each fight after 21 Monoblos that's 84 chances for something that is a 1 in 25 chance.

High Rank Gore is a big meany head. He keeps hitting me with some sweeping breath attack when he's up in the air and I for some reason never see it coming, which makes it hard to dodge and not get carted.
