actually the headbutt spring doesn't lower his recovery, it just makes the spring not stick around
i said it earlier but it's not even a downside

sonic is apparently the hard peach counter
all his air moves have priority over hers, and she can't hover over and do a down air because sonic's up smash is fucking brutal
not to mention the spin dashes seem to actually go though her before she can pull toad out, so countering won't work for that
mario seems to be the hard sonic counter, but sonic also is a hard mario counter? they both can punish the other really easily
and finally, sonic v sonic is a fucking wildcard both of you will be very confused and very fast and the winner is basically random chance of who went fastest at the best time for fast
It's a TAS in case you weren't aware. You'll probably like this too if you haven't seen it

I seriously can't beat them on Intensity 3.0 because their attacks throw you around clear off the stage and Mac has absolutely fucking zero air recovery.

meanwhile i beat classic on 9.0 thanks to the wonders of falcon knee and falcon backhand
master core never gets particularly HARDER but the extra HP really draws it out
