The contest is now over, and the demo code has been awarded. Here's the answer to the riddle for those of you who are curious.

I am often ignored at home (oft forgotten by people in his own games), even though I'm better at what I do than my peers (jumping). I seem to be appreciated more by people living abroad (lots of fans in real life) than those in my own homeland (few people in the Mushroom Kingdom and surrounding areas can remember his name). And on an unrelated note, if looks could kill, I'd have recently become a mass murderer (the infamous death stare).
