Re: Super Smash Bros
My brother had a couple and gave them away. Not to me of course. I'm just the guy who taught him to play videogames as a child. And gave him all the registration numbers for my Nintendo games so he could use them. And bought him Xenoblade for his birthday. I'm not bitter.
Character is what you are in the dark.

not getting the smash bros 3ds demo is the only time I have regretted opting out of a website's update email service

Re: Super Smash Bros
I have one leftover demo code that I'm willing to give away. Buuuut... to make things more interesting, how about we make it a game? I'll give the code to the first person who answers this riddle.
Please PM me your answer to avoid clogging up this topic. The first one to guess correctly wins the code. Only one guess per person, please.I am often ignored at home, even though I'm better at what I do than my peers. I seem to be appreciated more by people living abroad than those in my own homeland. And on an unrelated note, if looks could kill, I'd have recently become a mass murderer.
Who am I?

Re: Super Smash Bros
All right, gonna be sharing my demo feels with you all, so the demo lets you play as Mario, Link, Pikachu, Mega Man, and Villager.
CHARACTERS
Mario is barely changed, and I couldn't access any of his special costumes, so sadly, no Americurr Mario, he has a few aesthetic changes, but he's the plumber most Smashers know and love.
Link is, like Mario, barely changed at all. The only noticeable difference I saw was that his running attack was switched from some awkward sword swing to an awesome lunge that gets shit done. A small, yet welcome improvement.
Pikachu actually has some small improvements, he's similar to his Brawl and Melee versions, but now he has a really daisies sweet down-smash, and he likes using his tail more often, like his up smash is him slashing with his tail. Also, the thunder attack has been NERFED. It's still there, but it doesn't really smash people any more, and has a much smaller size, so you can actually get attacked when the lightning hits you!
Mega Man...hoo boy, I'll say this now, awkward. his normal attack is his Mega Buster, it has no stun, and it's just really weird to see him using a projectile weapon as his basic attack.(I cannot believe I just typed that.), but otherwise, he has some sweet attacks, his down-smash is hands down one of the best smashes I've ever seen, and he can be really fun, not to mention he CAN do charge shots that are practically his common left/right smash attack, he has a really high range, low knockback, so I'd say he's good, and can be really rewarding if you master him.
Villager...I don't like him, but that's just my opinion, his grabbing is really awkward and I just don't like him, I won't go into too much detail, but I will say that you need to have your final smash done perfectly on solid ground, my final smash got cancelled while I was on one of the small platforms on the Battlefield stage. And you know that Tree felling thing he has? It's actually much easier to do than you think, just keep pressing Down and B, he'll automatically do each step to chopping the tree down and doing damage.
CONTROL
Awkward. As. Hell. I wish you could change it so you can use the D-PAD than the C-stick, the D-Pad was MADE for 2D games, not 3D. X and Y jump, A is your basic attack, and B is your projectile/1 button on the Wii controller(that's my only refference, sorry~)
STAGES
They only have one accessible stage, Battlefield, it's almost exactly like Brawl's.
ITEMS
There are a few new items in this game, I'll list them.
X Bomb, basically fires 2 big fucking beams across the entire stage, either it takes a "+" or "x" position, a really fair, fun tool.
The Wind Gun, it deals no damage, but it blows people away faster than F.L.U.D.D. could ever do, if you can use this well, you can get some real cheap kills.
+1 Item, It's bodaciously an item that gives you 1 score point, practically a successful smash in item form, you have to hold on to it for a while though, and your opponents can stop you from getting that point.
Bullet Bill, basically, it turns you into a giant Bullet Bill like in Mario Kart, you can go up, down, left, and right, just be careful you don't exit the level bounds.
Red Weed, it's a weed from Super Mario Bros. 2, pluck it for a random surprise!
Chicken, toss this chicken at the enemy and it'll call upon its death chicken army from Zelda to do the dirty work.
Bee Hive, it works just like in Animal Crossing, toss it at an enemy and they'll be pelted with damaging bees.
Drill, it's a giant drill, fire it up or down, it's sorta like Mega man's drill power-up from Mega man 4.
Boomerang, it's the boomerang from Super Mario 3D Land, you toss it and it goes through enemies, and you can then grab it again, a really fun little power-up.
ASSISTS
Ghirahim is an assist trophy, sorry folks. He basically goes about the stage firing those needle things and occasionally an upward slash, it's cool to see him in action.
Isabelle from Animal Crossing is also an assist, she throws out food for you or whoever needs it, pretty darn useful.
OVERALL
It's fun, I give it 2 butt logos out of 1.

Going to bed soon. Anyone who wants to take a crack at my riddle will probably have to wait until tomorrow to know if they got it right or not.

Re: Super Smash Bros
Local, yes. Nintendo gave everyone who qualified and didn't opt-out of email notifications three extra demo codes to share with their friends for this very purpose. Wifi, no.
Also, no one has guessed the riddle correctly yet. If no one successfuly guesses it by midnight tonight, I will give the code to whoever came the closest with their guess.
Also, forget about that "one guess per person" thing. Those who have already guessed can go ahead and take one more guess if they like.

Re: Super Smash Bros
I didn't really know what to think of the Villager at first but once you got a handle on them they're a ton of fun to play. Planting trees and knocking them over on everyone.
