I would prefer Knuckles too, because he's more of a fighter and he's my favorite character, but it makes sense to have the mascot in...

I don't understand Raiden at all though. Snake has far more importance and has shown more fighting prowess and badassery...why Raiden?

I've seen Raiden fight, I've played the whole series. He's not a great deal tougher than Snake in any way. That, and most of the franchise fans hated him...I would like to play as Naked Raiden though.
