Super Smash Bros.: The one with Ridley in it
Re: Super Smash Bros
I love playing as Ike and not dying. Actually I love most of the heavies. Even Gandondorf. He just can't die.

Re: Super Smash Bros
Okay so I'm thinking for the tournament (if we get enough people signed up):
We stick to one on one matches as much as possible, but to avoid giving away spots in the subsequent rounds without fighting there will be matches of three if needed.
Stock matches, last man standing wins regardless of scores.
All characters are allowed, items on the normal spawn rate or possibly turned down slightly so that there is the fun of randomly generated items but without people complaining that they're getting cheated out of wins because of items. There could be discussion of banned items that we could all play by, if there is reasonable logic and support behind the removal of these items.
I would like to have it as randomly chosen stages so that no one gets an unfair advantage by choice of stage.
Hearing any suggestions is welcome, and please PM me if interested so I have a good idea of how many participants are entering. If there is enough interest, I'll make a thread and we'll move on from there.

Re: Super Smash Bros
Sorry. I'm sick and tired of people bashing on competitive play because "LOL! Competitive play!". I've had enough of this bullshit during the last four years and I can't take that kind of mocking anymore. It's one of the few things I find actually hurtful, because it's one of the few things I care for. It's my passion, and when I see all that ignorance and cockiness about it, when I see people saying that not using fatalities is stupid, that fireballs are cheap, that a character is overpowered within a month of a game's release, that throws are cheap, that they could do better than a pro player, that instant kills are cheap, just... I just want to crawl into a hole and die. They just don't fucking understand, they don't even try to understand, they just see something they don't like and write it off as stupid or cheap, they just... Give up, and ugh, I'm gonna stop crying like a bitch here.

Not if you turn all items offLe Great Handsome Oppressor wrote:Peach can still spawn laser sabers and bob-ombs, actually :d
If you only set it so no items appear, you can still have them pop up from DDD's and Peach's moves. But if in addition to that you turn all items off, you won't get even those.

Re: Super Smash Bros
I guess I'm kinda the other side of the coin; I like the casual-ness of Brawl especially - and I don't like it when people try to force the competitive stuff in my backyard - not that I can't play by competitive rules if I want.
I mean, I've had four years of putting up with people trying to take the fun out of Brawl with their competitive rules (that's at least how I see it) - so I guess that's why I bitch about it too - but I'm actually fairly easy-going when it comes to actually playing the game.
I'm not against fireballs or throws or anything like that though - I mean, I said I'd rather play Brawl with everything turned on - Bob-ombs and all.

Played a bit with brother and his friend. I played Zelda, brother Falco, friend Snake.
I spent the entirety of the matches absolutely hounding Snake with Zelda. Was trying to get the hang of using her A attacks over her B attacks while avoiding Snake's ungodly powerful A combo. Worked pretty well for the most part, just gotta work on sweetspotting the kick and getting the air Up A to actually connect.

Stuff goes here later.

No need for you to get involved, bro.

People wouldn't stop whining about my auto-censoring feature so I deactivated it.
