Apparently an idea floating around is that you can have a more "personal" experience in the 3DS game by customizing a character's stats and stuff and put their customized character into the WiiU game.
I'm interested in this. It would definitely solve the issue of clones...
Sounds really neat.

Yeah I don't know how I feel about customizing stats and stuff. It was okay in Subspace Emissary, but I can't imagine it in real combat.

Worked for Soul Calibur.

The console version isn't going to be stats, it's going to be an improvement on Brawl, it sounds like...the stats just being an add-on that you can bring in from the 3DS version.

I like the idea of changing stats like knock distance and flich time and weight. I think it would be a nice RPG kind of aspect that they could pull off well.

I think instead of stats they should use interchangeable movesets
Like just for example, being able to swap Mario's Down+B between the Spiral Kick thing he used to use and the FLUDD he got in brawl
Just a theory

Just a theory, but me and my friends were thinking that the next game will probably dump lucario, like they did with mewtwo and instead have zoraork to keep with the current gens.
Similar move set etc etc, just new pokemon to keep it fresh.
Geno is unlikely to even be considered because he technically doesn't belong to nintendo he belongs to square. Square being square, would probably want tons of cheddar for licensing.
I think Vaati actually has a pretty good chance of being in the next one, that or skullkid, or zant even. There aren't that many heroes in zelda other than link, so I'd imagine adding villains would be the way to go.
It being a hal game I'd imagine that there'd be a new kirby charatcter as well, but I honestly don't know who it'd be. Id like to see the animals from the dream land games used some how but I don't think that'd happen. Painter maybe, or even dark matter from the old game.
They should also give the next game a more modern feel, with unlockable hats.

Yeah, that's a pretty widely accepted idea. If not Zoroark, then some fifth-gen or other, though he's the most likely.

At the same time, though, Square and Nintendo have had a really good relationship; I doubt Square would try to screw them with a character like Geno that they created together in the first place.

I've heard a lot about Toon Zelda, and I think it makes sense. Though Vaati would be my next guess.

I would LOVE Dark Matter...a lot of people say Prince Fluff, but I doubt that'll happen.

I'd love it if Cave Story made it into SSB4 in SOME form. Not that unlikely either, seeing as all the 'official' releases that aren't the original are on nintendo systems. Just need a quick OK from Pixel, and... well. Yeah. Not as unlikely as the Masked Man.

I'd rather have Vaati then Toon Zelda. Toon Zelda would probably turn out just like Toon Link--almost exactly the same as their counterpart.

Why is Jigglypuff still in smash bros? Thing hasn't showed up in the anime for ages and it ain't that popular.
Also, why not get four sword link up in here? Sure you can only control one, or you switch out with other links that have their own movesets, and all 4 links show up for a final smash. Sounds like a sweet deal to me.
What about Ninten? You got Ness and Lucas there, why not him? Sure another clone whatevs but it'd be cool.
If we're gonna include more clones, Paper Mario would be interesting to see.
WE FUCKING NEED SAKI FROM SIN AND PUNISHMENT.

Toon Zelda would actually be a lot different from Normal Zelda...they fight nothing alike in their respective games. The biggest bonus for Toon Zelda, I think, is the possibility of using the Phantoms.
A third Link seems excessive, but it would be really cool if you differentiated the two Links' final smashes and made Toon Link's a Four-Sword Smash...that sounds pretty awesome actually.
Jigglypuff isn't going to leave because she's one of the original roster, I think, but SAKI WOULD BE AMAZING

Jigglypuff is basically like Pikachu in Japan. She's not gonna be leaving for some time now.

YES!
...and I'm with you on the Jigglypuff thing; I don't see why Mewtwo was dropped and Jiggles was kept on.
I'd also love a Phoenix Wright Assist Trophy but Capcom would probably have to be on board for that to happen.
