Pizzadudemanguy's been speculating for about two years on YouTube now, and I agree with most of his ideas...I would LOVE to see Geno, but I'm doubting it's gonna happen.

I wanna see a Fire Emblem character who doesn't use a sword, personally. Ephraim would be cool, but not many people played Sacred Stones...

I'm sick of people pulling for Geno.

He was one party member in a game made forever ago, let it rest. He wasn't any more or less compelling than any other Mario RPG character. Might as well be asking for Goombario or Bobbery or something. I'd push for Paper Mario as a character, but even that's a stretch.

Ridley, maybe Victini for a new pokemon rep, Ryu for Capcom...

I honestly can't think of many more characters to add.

He was a cool party member in an excellent game. His looks and fighting style is what makes him more compelling than most other Mario RPG characters.
Besides that, it would be easier to make an actually interesting moveset for Geno that it would be for Goombario or Bobbery or most other Mario RPG characters.
I don't like Geno that much myself, but wouldn't be against its inclusion provided Squenix agrees with it. To be honest, I'd like Dimentio better, but as I said it's not gonna happen. Maybe as a trophy, or sticker...

I actually like Geno as a character but not for a Smash Bros fighter. It's unlikely and stupid, but if it happened I wouldn't be angry or anything. If anything he'd be a representative for the fans.

I've seen quite a lot of fanmade movesets, and I have to say, some were pretty cool. I was sceptic at first, but now I can see how Geno would work in SSB. Though yes, it's still unlikely - still beats saying people push for Cloud and other gay boys.

My reasons for wanting Geno:

1. He is an incredibly unique character, with a fighting style unlike anything we have in Smash Bros. so far.
2. He had a huge impact on the story, not just a tagalong party member, but a star himself.
3. He is one of the most popular Nintendo characters of all time, enough so to earn him cameos and make him the first character hacked into Brawl; he was hacked in twice before any other character was hacked even once. For having been in one game, that's a huge impact.
4. He's unique in that he's a strong representative of both Mario and Square Enix; I'd prefer him over Chrono or Cloud.

Not to mention that popularity is one of the biggest factors in character selection. A lot of the characters would not be in the roster if they weren't popular. He's also a classic throwback, like Pit or Ice Climbers, but he hasn't been pretty much forgotten over time like they had been.

If theres any ff representation I hope its cecil, he could use b down to switch from paladin to dark knight or something.

I'd still want Geno too, but that might be too much to ask of square.

Square will be represented by a standard slime.

I'm reminded of a webcomic with Sephiroth in SSB and his final smash is stabbing them through the back and then Cloud comes in and bathes them. But I can't find it.

Sakurai talks about SSB 3DS and Wii U titles.

Apparently an idea floating around is that you can have a more "personal" experience in the 3DS game by customizing a character's stats and stuff and put their customized character into the WiiU game.

I'm interested in this. It would definitely solve the issue of clones...
