I just read abrogated arson on the artist's Deviantart page and it reminded me of Phantom Hourglasses awesome version of the hammer.
It's basically like a mallet, which was disappointing in one of the earlier zelda games, but in Phantom Hourglass, the fairy is the one that swings it! That's what makes it awesome!
