Not myk.

Its not a fucking character, its an animal that keeps attacking him because its funny. It doesn't have a personality, or a catch phrase, or a distinct style, its a fucking duck. In Avatar, Momo is not a character because "it's an animal" and does not speak or do anything except comic reliefIndigo_Dingo wrote:Its not a fucking character, its an animal that keeps attacking him because its funny. When are you gonna stop being a fucking idiot.
I proved Indigo wrong in saying that a pet is exactly the same as a character; which backs up my statement that adding characters is a bad thing to do. I then went on to say that some stupid duck would be severely boringFooflyer wrote:Did you just contradict yourself there?
You make a point about Momo, saying he's really not that big of a character, and that it works in avatar, then turnaround and say that it wouldn't work.
I do confess, that was the actual idea for the joke in itself - multiple characters sitting around in various lethargic poses, complaining that nothing interesting is happening. Marth runs by screaming his pet duck is trying to kill him. Pit looks in a bored manner "Do you think beating the hell out of each other for a living has left us desensitized?" "Nah".Plasma wrote:I'm with everyone else; a pet does not constitute as a character any more than a brick does.
But I do agree with Decker in that an angry duck in itself isn't humourful in any way, and I am honestly confused as to why you would even think it is. Although then again, this is a forum known for thinking the word "BEEEEES" constitutes as a joke.

That was what I thought, and I got all sad when it was said to be a skype chat joke. I wanna join in on the humor orgies.Torizo wrote:It's not really a Skype joke, it's a reference to this comic.
