I do believe that Douglas is a reference to Brawl in the Family.
CAPTAIN FALCON: He's proud, he's loud, and he loves to punch. Captain Douglas Jebediah Falcon apparently can't resist letting the world know of his actions. A confirmed Roman Catholic, Captain Falcon spends his free time racing in the F-Zero Grand Prix, eating beef jerky, and studying the Penteteuch. Currently seeking female bounty hunter for companionship. Call now!
:psyduck:
If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does the tree get arrested for woodland violence and murder-suicide? ._.

I'm still wondering why Marth has the scars on his wrist. Did he attempt suicide in the game, because that'd explain why I missed it?

It's probably just normal arm hair. We've never actually seen Marth's forearms since they're always covered by gloves or long sleeves. This is the first time they've been uncovered. I'm sorry if I annoyed anybody, but I figured that if nobody else was going to defend our favorite Exiled Prince, then it might as well be me. Plus it gave me an opportunity to be contradictory and different than everybody else. :D
I JUST HAD A BLACK EYE WITH FIFTEEN SHOTS OF ESPRESSO FROM STARBUCKS AND I FEEL LIKE MY HEART'S GONNA EXPLODE!!! WOOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So does that mean Marth dyes his hair blue or Marth dyes his arm hair a slight browny-red colour?

Or he could have just been very unlucky when he was beginning training. When sword fighting (sparring, not duels to the death), at least in my experience, the most common injuries are to arms (or...somewhere else...if you are as unlucky as one guy I knew) so if you are going to get accidentally hit ANYWHERE, it's on your arms...and armor for your forearms is not very...good...sometimes. It's conceivable that they are scars like that.
