And he keeps talking about surveillance and seems to be forgetting the UK.

He makes some good points but also contradicts himself in several places. We work ourselves like dogs but we've never seen a factory worker from Singapore. His viewpoint is USA versus a collection of traits from various other countries. No one country has all the things he describes in the way he describes. But it does give you a lot to think about.
