I remember in middle school, I'd read crappy teenaged girl books for kicks.

All of them had something to show that they were relevant with the times. This usually meant the girls used shopping as a time to think such complex thoughts as "why aren't boys throwing themselves at me?", had credits cards and big booty cell phones, and felt the need to mentally say "gag me with a spoon" and other such hip terms like "radical" and "bombtastic" (not even making that one up).

I just... how does write?

The one book about sending e-mails to thinly veiled boys at school and the parents finding out and turning off the entire internet was the best though.

That's practically hetero-normative compared to some of the other stuff you've dredged up.

I actually originally typoed it as "bombastic" and was like "wait... no..."

but yeah, I can't remember whether it was supposed to be a positive or negative word, because I remember the girl was talking about having a party that was bombtastic, but said something about how visiting her grandma in the retirement home was bombtastic too...

Unless maybe she was sarcastic in the second one but...

Has anyone even heard bombtastic being used before, or is it kind of like that shitty "fantabulous" fad that happened?

Also, I'm imagining a teenaged girl using words like bombastic with a top hat and a monocle and that's making me have too much fun.
