I think it's funny that "human" is a free space when some people don't identify as humans. Whoever made that is biased against otherkin.

No see, the thing about this is that this guy feels so entitled that he wants to take pretty much the only show with a cast consisting primarily of positive female role models and fill it up with male characters. And that he doesn't realize that his description of the males on the show as eye-candy for the female characters is bodaciously EXACTLY what happens to female characters on every single kids show for boys out there.

Flip the gender though. What if this was a girl complaining that there's a lack of females in a male show, and all of them are either vapid bitches or eye candy.

Would you say her wanting more positive females in the cast, maybe to help the male:female ratio of the show means that she's being entitled to the fact that she "wants to turn it into a show like MLP" which does the same thing, only opposite.

Wanting positive character males in MLP doesn't mean "unwarranted male privilege" any more than wanting positive females in a male show is some form of "feminist dickery". Maybe we see it that way because the males are bemoaning the lack of males and the females are bemoaning the lack of females, but the point is still valid. Personally, I hate that male shows tend to have only the token female in the show, and of course, she can never be as useful as the main character (if useful at all), but it's equally frustrating with guys in girl tv shows are incapable of doing anything either, all to promote "girl power".

You don't fight the problems of television by doing a 180.
