You guys are fuelling a desire to go on a shopping spree.

I'm now contemplating heading down to the local shopping centre to see what I can nab.

Totally breaking a new years resolution here.

Yes.
Also we must go eat some really decadent dessert while complaining about being fat.

How easy is it for you to get into the city anyway?

Not a big deal, really, just an hour on the train. In the cbd most every week anyway.

That used to be me. It still takes an hour to get in by train but I hardly ever go any more since there's not much of a good reason. At least there ain't a reason good enough to validate the fare.

You know what. If we don't meet up before hand then I will have some kinda birthday thing and you are invited. That'll be in June, but whatevs.

Let me get to that once spring rolls around and they have those skirts in stores. I mean seriously though I am trying to embrace my feminine side but icy winter is a difficult time to look cute on my budget.
I do have a skirt-suit now though

Y'know, come to think of it I need a size 10 fancy dress. The one I wore on the cruise years ago is too small for me. I lost about 20 pounds since then.

Winter is the best time I think, you get to layer all the nice stuff you have. Think accessories! Scarves, hats and gloves.

I did it. Went to six different stores looking for what I wanted.

[skip to the pictures if you don't want to read my super long shopping trip story]

Had to be a nice cut, decent quality fabric and I was hoping to find something under $30. First store had a blazer for about $15. Not too bad, but a bit darker than what I wanted and shoulders tailored a bit tight in my opinion. Left it there but kept it in mind when comparing to the other things I found.

The blazers I found in other stores were just badly made, designed to be worn with t-shirts as opposed to blouses. Got to the last store and they had quite the selection. Nice tailoring and designs. However being the last of the season's stock they were mainly too small and a few too big. I found one though. But it didn't appear to be on special, sucks. $35, five more than I had allowed my self. I uhm'd and ahh'd and even went back to the very first store I visited to compare.

Partner convinced me to get it. I'm paying for the nicer item in the colour I want after all.

Turns out it was marked down to $15 and they just forgot to ticket the item. Sweet egg, man.

So I got a skirt too!

Best part is, those are actual pockets. Not like what most other women's clothing has.

And here's a detail of the skirt:

It's got shiny metallic thread and rose pattern. Gorgeous.

And here's a bonus image of my perfumes.

Skirt suits are very nice and you will attract dapper chaps with a get up like that

as with all ladies suits though, the jacket really does need to be fitted properly. Nothing looks more wonky and askew then a lass in a wrong size suit jacket.

Pretty good pick up man, looks good with the skirt. That's way cheap, too - when I go mad for a shopping trip I usually end up blowin like two hundred bucks plus, hahah

I wish I could find deals like that, I need some more professional-looking clothing.

I am wearing a very nice sweater today though, I think I'll keep wearing it instead of changing to something else for later because I like how it looks and it's pretty cozy.

Holy shit, bro. You will either be the best shopping buddy or the worst. I gotta be so frugal on my budget. Funny thing I've learnt is that I do have expensive tastes. Like if I'm browsing a catalogue, usually it's only the expensive items that catch my eye.

Shopping triiiiip~
I just got really lucky, and as said before, they're the end of season stock so they were discounted. Just wait for trends to come and go and keep an eye out for things that you like. Not every season is a winner but sometimes there are hidden fashion treasures to be found. (This season just past was a gold mine for me.)

Professional clothing should be around all the time I think. Maybe just the basics like black slacks, black blazer and a white blouse. But that's where accessories come in! :D

As in, she has a bunch and all these are in her set? or She has some and these are them.

I don't think you're my little sister.

Skirts and dresses are not the epitome of femininity. They certainly flaunt it, but there are other ways to go about it - shirt and pant cuts, patterns, accessories and details. All fun stuff!

I think the one area I need huge help in is perfumes. I don't really wear it, most I ever use is a body spray of cucumber melon. Most "adult" perfumes turn me off and irritate my nose. Is it bad to stick to fruitier scents?

Being both a dude and one who likes smells, I vastly prefer fruity smells over the poisony stench of other really strong perfumes

That's my opinion anyway
Or, y'know, whatever.
