Yes. If you connect a word ending in 2 same letters with a word that starts with the same letter you get that.
Like Schifffahrt.

Ah. I thought I remembered my German teacher saying we put the verb last or something. Might have been for a specific case or word or something.

For conjuntions weil(because), dass(that), and at least wieß(to know [facts]), you do have to put the conjugated verb at the end of the clause.

i.e. ( i hope):

Ich glaube, dass ich nicht die Hausaufgaben machen kann.

Runes, here's a hot tip. The long vowel sound comes second if you're confused about ie/ei shenanigans. Die is pronounced Dee, for example, because the e is second. As far as I know this only applies to ie/ei but I may be wrong.

Man. We have this 128 question review packet for Earth Science, and I have most of it done except 3 pages, but the way they word these things is so weird. For every "question", you have to give two statements related to it. It's kind of hard to explain, so here's an example:

Relate the physical and chemical properties of water to a water pollution issue.

B.


Like, what? I don't even see how that makes any sense. Another:

Make inferences about the quality and/or quantity of freshwater, using data collected from local water systems. (No data provided)

Um. I can't without the data?

I guess you could make up some hypothetical data? Unless it wants you to go get yourself some data

The first one is pretty vague, but the way its worded seems like its looking for something very specific. I guess the first step would be to think up some properties of water and see if they're connected at all to any water pollution issue you've learned about. Like say, water molecules are polar, and don't really mix with nonpolar molecules like oil molecules, so that affects oil spills... I guess.
