I already did one when I was like 12 and didn't even know much more about gundam than that there are giant robot suits.
I also bought a HG RX-78 and am waiting for it to arrive.

Edit:
I kinda also want a Guntank.
With that one you can easily see the detail difference between HG and MG though. Also in the price. -sigh-

Stranaton-san, since you want to give Crisp a model for your birthday and others too, could you... it's guntank. Guntank!

Edit:
Things I want to build from Zeta already:
Titans!Gundam Mk.II
Hyaku Shiki
Palace Athene
Even though I haven't even seen the palace athene in the series yet, just a still picture when I was looking for the name of Hyaku shiki.

So I kinda want to build a Gundam since I heard they're a step up from LEGOs. What's a good starter kit?

I bought the High Grade RX-78. It's the Gundam from the very first series. I thought it was a fitting start and I'm going to go chronologically with the series'.

I need to get the MG of Hyaku Shiki and Guntank. The HG of Shiki has shiny Gold paint while the MG has a matte one that just looks better. And MG Guntank has a much better tank chain. Aaaaah but they're so expensive.

Did some research, and I kinda want to do a 1/144 HG 00 Raiser. Can anyone recommend this to me?

I mean just do the maths. Guncannon is a robot with two cannons on its shoulders.
Guntank is a Robot + Tank with two cannons on its shoulders + GATLING GUN HANDS

It's deemed the best HG of all the 00 Kits along side the Reborns. And I build it and it is rocking.

Either way, once I get enough cheddar I know what I'm going to do for a custom paint job...
