Keyboard and mouse maybe, but monitor? I thought his computer was shit, if he has a CRT screen or a tiny LCD monitor with a resolution under 1080p he's not gonna need a fancy graphics card.

While it was fun drawing on the few bits of actual advice you'd given a few pages back, Paco, I have to agree.

Keep your comments helpful.

How should I know he has a high-definition monitor when he goes from considering Alienware to using /g/ to find computer parts that I'm pretty sure he doesn't understand much (not to mention ignoring the first protip that's red, bold and underlined)?

guide to computers is just a guide

so.fucking.lost

should i just stick with the computer i showed you guys? I mean it seems to be kinda top of the line, right? or is there something better for less cheddar?

It's a really fast computer, to be sure.
They're laughing you off because it's overpriced and overkill

I mean seriously, you're never gonna need that.
You probably won't get something better for significantly less cheddar (but building it yourself is always cheaper), but you'll get something that will still do everything you want for WAAAAY less.

well okay, but I think I'll need a good bit of memory if I decide to have a lot of games on it, wont I? or Ram if I want to livestream stuff or download something while I'm playing?

I'd love a link to a computer that is monster enough to do the kinda gaming I wanna do: no lag, high quality, ect

RAM doesn't handle downloads, that's all in the Hard Drive's read/write speed and your internet connection. Livestream might require ever so slightly more RAM than just playing games, but if you'll recall, I tested my system with livestreaming and it went fine during blur, probably the most intense game I own.
Remember, Livestreaming plugs right into directX/openGL, so it has very little effect on performance.

And if you want to store a lot of stuff, that computer's hard drive is no where near exclusive to it. Just pick up a 1TB drive from anywhere.

And, again, even the bare-minimum computer from the list of parts I found for you will do the no lag/high quality thing.
