My pc is aslo saying the windows is not loading correctly. For a system refresh it is asking for a boot disk. But this installation didn't come with one.

Do you know what version you were running? Like Professional 64-bit or something? If you do, I'm pretty sure Microsoft has a way you can get the ISO to burn a disc. It wouldn't work for installing Windows fresh because it'd need a CD key, but should be plenty for the restore procedures.
Since this is garbled English, please refer to the brutal attack of confusion.

Ah shit. Something turned off the anti-virus. I guess that answers my question of what's happening.
I don't know how this is happening. I haven't downloaded anything sketchy or visit virus ridden websites.
Thanks for the advice though.

Any one familiar with Github? I've only started using it for my latest project and the intricacies still baffle me a bit, so I mostly just use GitHub Desktop. Lately I've noticed it's slow to track recent changes though, which has lead me to make incomplete commits. Any one know a fix or something for this?

Anyone here good at diagnosing problems? I think my videocard is bad. I think it's booting up just fine, but the screen ia either blank or like the images below. There's been a lot of static from the case and I've had some power interruptions. I couls use some opinions.

One of three things is wrong. Either GPU, cable or monitor. Tried hooking up another computer or something to the monitor and see if that works fine?

Unfortunately, I dont have a spare monitor or computer. I unplugged it and left the power switch on to dissipate extra static and it just booted normally! Could it actually be a short?

Sounds like a capacitor is going to die, but it's difficult to tell.

I realize you already solved this one (I think) But if you need reinstalltion/refresh in the future there should be a partition on the computer's hard drive for a factory reset if they didn't provide a disk. You can look up the way to access it by googling usually since it's different for individual manufacturers/models.

I know there are trial versions of Windows legally available for download. When you install them, they only work for 3 months before asking for activation (you can reinstall them forever though). You could use one of these to repair your current installation.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'll probably be upgrading to windows 10 and seeing how that goes when it's available.

I posted this in the TF2 thread, but I figure this is a good thread for it too. This has been bugging me for weeks and I so badly want to get to the bottom of the problem. @_@

In the past I've been able to connect to it just fine, but one night out of nowhere it just started claiming the server wasn't responding and it's been like it for weeks now. The annoying thing is, everyone else is able to connect to it fine and I can get on it fine when I'm at my dad's (even though his internet is terrible), leading me to believe it's a problem with my stepmum's router. I've tried connecting through the console, I've tried verifying game files, I've tried getting my laptop to forget the network and then rejoining etc. etc. but I still don't know what's up. It's a fun server and I miss being able to play on it with a good connection. :[
It's a Virgin Media router and as far as I know nobody's changed anything about it, so it just seems weird that all of a sudden it's decided to take issue with this one specific server I've been playing on for months. I'm a mod on the server too, so it's just making it all the more bothersome.

Try opening the command line on your machine and ping the server. Post the results.

This is what came up, assuming I did it right:

(I should note I tend to have a bad ping on the server but play anyway because I enjoy the community and it's better than Valve servers; I doubt it's the reason I'm suddenly unable to connect with my stepmum's supposedly fast router though)
