I could be giving spoilers for your favourite series right now. But you wouldn't know because I didn't mention it before.

I think that'd be a pretty good idea, if you mentioned what you were spoilering, if anything.

Except, you know, he isnt. At all. He PRETENDS he is and his followers go along with it, because he's the only one in the Legion who actually knows that Ancient Rome was like, but even they werent as bad as the Legion. About the only thing they got in common with Rome is slavery, everything else is just another warlord in the wasteland.

There is the crucifixions and arena combat and total war intimidations, but whatever. You're just looking at the "post-apocalyptic horde" aspect of the Legion without seeing how it could be similar to Ancient Rome.
And they certainly have a lot more in common with the Romans then they do with the Nazis. You're thinking about the Enclave on that one.
