I'm pop flyin' that he's finally got an official stance on this issue, but he's been back-and-forth with his opinions on gay marriage in the past and this really just seems like an attempt at appealing to younger voters.

It's still the good choice either way.

It is, I just wish he had made this decision earlier, because now the opposition is going to seize on this as a political stunt to garner attention.

Honestly I don't see how it would make a huge political impact either way. Really it seems that it's just solidifying the support he already has from his party and solidifying the opposition from the GOPs.
Personally, though, I'm pop flyin' about it. It's a step in the right direction. I just hope we don't end up stepping backwards.

D-vid, could you tell me more about the German pirate party? I heard they won some elections not too long ago.

Yeah, they got good percentages during Landtagswahlen. That's like elections for the individual states. Of course probably none of the old parties will want to work together with them.

That's good, but it's unfortunate that other parties would act like that.

The others are all in their little "They've got no manifesto" schtick. Even though, you know, we do have stuff for most things.
But it's much easier to disregard someone when you're telling lies about them.

Gay marriage in the states is really just a matter of when, not if. The Republicans need to abandon the pretense that we can keep treating gay people like second class citizens if it wants to remain relevant.

I'm a republican
I honestly don't care, it's just a title. Get over it, fellow party members. Church=/=State

I'm neither. Both parties can have good ideas and bad ideas. To join one is to declare the other party an enemy no matter what. That's the problem with politics.

That's strange, I wasn't aware Germany was now America.
