Rook is heading the haunted house mission, correct? I'm just assuming since Enternum and Helzek have already headed the other two.

actually my intent is to take care of the haunted house mission myself, but it makes things a little broken because lyra is on that mission. SO, if you want to do it yourself, i pass power over to you. i had some ideas for it, and i'll pm them to you so you can continue where i left off, alright?

and actually madican i was planning on asking you about it myself, what luck. i think it would be interesting with your character.

Lyra paused for a second. "Oh, you're here too? I guess this is our first clue." She glanced around the dimly-lit room, swallowing nervously. Dark, creepy places weren't her forte. Unfortunately that didn't couple too well with her interest in the supernatural. She shuffled closer to Andre. "We heard the voice too. I wonder where the other guys are. I swear I saw others signing that paper." For the first time, she seemed to notice Mouse. She studied him. Isn't this that guy that ran past me out in the hall? One of her ears twitched, giving away her slight irritation. Plucking up her courage, she stepped farther into the room. "C'mon, boys. Let's split up and search for clues." She hoped that Will would take the hint and go.

She thought she saw a shadow flit across the far wall and disappear, but the only thing betraying her nervousness was her tail puffing out.

[Walcott sat in Eternum's office, in a comfy leather chair off to the side. He poses Eternum a question.]

"So what am I to expect? I don't have many replacement organs in case something goes wrong, so I hope that they aren't going to get too banged up."

alexandy, i hope you see this, because i'd say choose just one element for your character. so if you're gonna go with water, go for it.

also i'd really like for everyone who hasn't chosen a mission yet to choose one. you don't have to do it in-character, just post which one you're taking :U

Taking on Lyra's advice, Andre split from the group to cover more space. He thought Lyra seemed a bit worried as he left, but disregarded it as he went further into the library. There were many tall tales, but as far as Andre was concerned, ghosts can't really do anything to a person besides being either tricksters, or wandering around creepy as hell. The worst he would get from their antics here would be a book to the face.

*THUMP*

Andre suddenly found himself in a considerably closer relationship with the floor.

Great, thought Andre. This ghost could probably read minds when it was still alive.

He got up, all covered in dust. The ghost had sent a book flying out of the shelf to his side. He looked at the title: "All You Need to Know About Ghosts and Ghouls". He wasn't sure if the ghost meant to give him this, or if it was just coincidence; either way, he took it with him in case it would be of any use.

Andre started swiping away the cobwebs on him, but then simply went into his human form. It would be a lot easier to clean the stuff if there wasn't any fur for it to be stuck in. He decided he'd stay this way while he was here, otherwise it would happen all over again. He finished brushing himself off, and continued along around the edge of the library, looking for clues in the book in the meantime.

OOC: I guess I'll have to drop some hints about this Treasure Hunt won't I.

IC:

"it's a shame we're not going on this treasure hunt ourselves, isn't it Monde?"

"Too boring for me. Sharks aren't fun."

"Yes, there are quite a bit of sharks. I thought you'd be the kind to fight them, though?"

"Not at all. One punch to the nose and they're out."

"Well there are the traps."

"Trick boards armed with spikes in the first room, have claimed 36 lives so far," Monde said. He kept all of these facts in his memory. he liked to recite the exact number of dead people. "After the spike chamber we have the Bloom Coral, total of 3 lives"

Bloom Coral was a growth native to the island. Unlike most Coral, it grew a network of pressure-sensitive "roots" beneath its habitat. if there was a disturbance in the root network, the Coral grew rapidly in that direction. Like most Coral, it was incredibly sharp. The combination was heinously deadly.

"And after that?" Helzek himself had forgotten most of the information about the sunken ship. It was a fairly low priority for him.

"Sole survivor of both the Spike and Coral rooms abandoned ship after watching comrades die. She reports seeing a mechanism similar to an archaic Scale in the next room. Contents of fourth and final room unknown."

Helzek leaned back in his chair. Sharks, a pit of spikes, coral that tried to stab you, and then puzzles. Quite the excavation.

After Paku had gone, Coryn found herself alone with Wyrm. She studied the ground for a few minutes, and when she didn't hear anything, she looked back at him. "So...shall we go, then? It doesn't look like we're going to achieve anything just waiting here. And I want to see the inside of this ship for myself." She paused as she studied Wyrm's outfit. "Do you...have a way of breathing underwater? I don't think there will be a lot of opportunities to catch out breath, if it's sunken."

Eris walked out the front door, cane tapping on the ground. He spotted Wyrm easily enough, the only adventurer armed with a shovel. And he was with a girl wearing a purple tunic. That would make it easy to identify her. Perhaps she was one of the other two people who signed up for the sunken ship?

Eris walked towards Wyrm, using his ability to exude an aura of friendliness. Not enough for anyone who entered it to realize the manipulation, but it might perhaps open them up for a bit of conversation.

Will, reluctantly followed their advice and decided to look on the other side of the library, leaving mouse by himself. Will's ragged suit was getting dirtier from all the dust and cobwebs. He despised this place. He only read when he had to read, so libraries were not places he frequented. He thought some books would give hims some clues, so he used his telekinetic power to create a wall of books next to him. He saw three books he thought that might help. " 'History of School specters', 'BOO! a guide of all the different kinds of ghosts and mythical creatures', and 'Dummies guide to telekinesis'. As he pocketed these books for later use. He saw a GIANT cobweb, that could only be made by a demon spider. He fled from that book aisle and and bump into a huge metal wall. He finds out that it isn't a wall but a huge iron door. He call the two upstanding members of society over here to come check it out.

Lyra wasted no time in rushing away. She wanted to keep moving, and keep her eyes shut, and of those two the former was the only option. Soon, though, she forgot about the ghosts. She trailed one hand (paw?) along the dusty shelves, looking at the names of each book. Wait, they wouldn't have had this many books back in the 15th century. They'd have had barely any at all. Just as she reached this conclusion, she heard a thump. Her ears pricked up, knocking her hat down over her eyes. She took a step backwards, kicking up some dust, causing her to sneeze. A disembodied voice said "bless you."

"Thank you. Wait, what?"
That was the second time that hour. She had no idea where the others were, but she heard footsteps coming up behind her. They were awfully heavy for one of the other students, and she whirled around, claws out. A suit of armor was lumbering towards her.

She gave a strangled shriek, stepping back. It continued advancing on her, creaking as it raised its sword arm. The catgirl could only stare in shock as it came closer and closer. Finally, she found her legs again, and took off. Its footsteps became heavier and faster as it pursued her. Maybe it was cowardly to flee it, but it was a suit of armor for Christ's sake! What could she do against that?

She turned the corner, running at full speed now, and crashed into Andre now in his human form, throwing them both to the floor once again. The footsteps behind her were gone, and no suit of armor was following her. She sat up, and realized she was on top of someone she didn't even recognize. "Oh, uh, sorry..." She trailed off, embarrassed. Then she sniffed the air. "Wait. You smell like Andre."

(hey luigi, do you mind waiting for ame to post now? you've kind of been dragging him along for a while now.)

Yea, i've been trying to keep him in close proximity to all of us so he wouldn't be so behind all of a sudden. But i can wait. I have to wait till Lyra and Unba catch up to my iron door discovery anyway.

Edit: where does he live? I'm in NY and the Time is 8pm. i sent the PM to him13 HOURS AGO. i saw him post around 5 o'clock today, but it seems that he didn't see he had a new PM in his inbox
