I really want to see it, but I have to go to bed early, for an appointment(tomorrow) about what to do about my wisdom teeth.

We talked about this in my science class today
Extra credit to anyone who gets up at 3:17 AM and takes a pic of the moon.
Apparently this is going to be the only lunar eclipse that takes place during the winter solstice for the next 700 years.

I don't know if it's been mentioned or not, but this is the first lunar eclipse to occur on the winter solstice since 1638, and only the second in the Common Era.
Also, I won't be able to see it. Woe is me

For once I feel resentment towards the snowfall.

What does it matter if it is on the winter solstice or not? :/
Although, I'm sure that somewhere some cult is hiding out in bunkers preparing for the world to end JUST BECAUSE there is a lunar eclipse on the winter solstice.

It has nothing to do with anything. There isn't anything mystical about it. It's just a significant date, and a significant occurence, and they're both happening at the same time, and it's rare that they do. *shrug*

I'll get the torches.
Staying up to 3 AM is nothing special to me, really. I'm up that late anyway. Even when I have class the next day at 8:50. But Christmas break, so woohoo!
We've got a lot of soda and chips and stuff for our eclipse/Christmas party we're having tonight. Staying up late gonna be easy.
