Well, they never would have met, but since "X vs. Y" matches rarely make sense anyway, I'd have to say Titanoboa.

Assuming the largest possible specimens, Titanoboa has a ten-foot length advantage, while Sarcosuchus weighs 7 tons more. Titanoboa definitely has the advantage in speed, and it's likely that it was a constrictor, meaning its entire body was a weapon, as opposed to the claws and teeth of Sarcosuchus. Deinosuchus might have lasted longer, but Titanoboa comes out on top in almost any instance.

Underwater, it might be a different story. Crocodiles are incredibly agile in the water, and Sarcosuchus may have had an advantage in a deep river. I'd say underwater battles favor the Sarcosuchus.

You thought that out pretty well. I'll have to give the edge to Sarchosuchus, though. It's not uncommon for large constrictors and crocodilians to get into fights, as evidenced by that whole python vs. alligator fiasco in Florida a while ago. If we look at the evidence from there, in about one out of five cases, the python won, and the rest of the time, it got bitten in half.

So yeah. My cheddar's on the giant prehistoric crocodile.

We'll just have to wait for cloning and time travel to collide in an amazing spectacle of raging violence harkening back to the days of the Coliseum to...

I lost track of where that was going.

New battle?

I haven't changed what my avatar is in years. A Moepasaurus, this one is just in tf2 engy stuff.
(No Moepasaurus's aren't real, they're the OC of dinosaurs. My real favourite are ankylosaurs.)

Went searching for dinosaur bones during the summer. Didn't find any but was in the dinosaur center of Canada. Was pretty cool.

My Paleontology professor took us digging in a nearby limestone quarry, and we found all sorts of cool stuff. I found a few disc-shaped bacteria things that I can't remember the names of right now. They were a big deal to my professor, he had based his doctorate on studying them.

AH! I found them! Foraminifera, protists that form a shell in segments, similar to a nautilus. They're apparently significant because their diversity throughout prehistory makes them useful in determining the age of the rocks they are found in.

And there's still one species left.

It's really kind of cute.

But then it evolves and it's not cute anymore.

Apparently, they just discovered a new species of prehistoric land crocodile. I am pleased by this information.
