I found the laughs in the Thriller Bark more annyoing than creepy.

So has anybody else followed Marble Hornets? Cause it's pretty freaking scary. I have a theory about what happened and why everything is going on.

1. Slenderman (known in the series as "The Operator") lives in the forest where Alex and his crew were going to film Marble Hornets. The Operator didn't like it when Alex and Company intruded.

2. We learn very near the end of Season 2 (which ended last November) that Alex is criminally insane. Alex actually killed a good amount of the cast and crew for Marble Hornets.This is either because he's trying to sever all ties between him and the film, and in doing so severing his ties with the Operator, or he's just under The Operator's Control. You see, back near the season 1 finale, Alex's girlfriend found the tapes and the camera in Alex's closet. This caused The Operator to appear and attack them both. Alex got out fine, but we haven't seen his girlfriend yet.

3. Alex sent Jay the tapes in the very beginning because he thought that The Operator would stop bothering him. But now, The Operator is bothering Jay, and Alex is not threatened by the Operator in Season 2, as far as we've seen. So it seems that whoever has the tapes is in a lot of trouble.

4. Tim, one of the people who was lucky enough to survive Alex's killing spree, is now [SERIOUS SPOILER, YOU GUYS] assuming the role of a character that the fandom has named Masky. It's unclear whether or not he wants to help or hinder Jay's progress, but he DID save Jay and his friend Jessica from a gun-toting Alex.

So basically, the Operator either took control of Alex or drove Alex insane. Either way, most of the Marble Hornets cast and crew is dead, and Masky is on the trail of both Alex and Jay.
