On the spoilered bit, Clyve, Lucifer was his name when he was an angel. He was stripped of his name when he was cast into hell. Satan (meaning "adversary") was what people decided to call him.

Also I'm pretty sure Satan is supposed to suffer in Hell along with all the other evil people. I don't believe Satan is even the ruler?

Also, before anyone jumps on me for this, it's my understanding that Satan and Lucifer are two completely separate beings. I'm about 80% sure this is correct and that people just lump them together for convenience because they don't want to remember a whole pantheon of devils..

Most Christians lump Satan and Lucifer together.

Not Shin Megami Tensei though....I guess Satan's design would be OK for this thread.

According to Dante, he is chained to a frozen lake of his own tears in the ninth circle of hell.

I like Dante's version. It's organized, except for the fact that there is little redemption, but at least Limbo doesn't suck /that/ badly.

During the war a soldier faithfully wrote his mother every week so she would know he was all right, until one week she didn’t get a letter and immediately began to worry. Within a couple of weeks she got a letter from the Army saying that her son had been captured and was being held in a Prisoner-of-War camp, and they assured her that they had no reason to believe the American prisoners were being mistreated in any way. She decided to steam the stamp from the envelope and have a look. When she did she saw that written on the back of the stamp were the words:
