Perry, who had wedged the torch in between two baguettes after considerable effort earlier, was balancing on top of the key on top of the balloon. Upon hearing Al's request, he climbed down to hand the key.
While there he looked at the hand torch that never got any worse even after this prolonged burning, occasionally twitching even. He tenso'ed for a sec, then returned to on top of the balloon. "It's still a bit away, it seems. I'll just rest for a bit." He nested a spot in the bag-balloon's canvas and closed his eyes.
(Also your posts are still kinda small alexandy. Just a little.)

Angie, Deserver, Will, Sneak, and the robot left Darnon. However, their travel would not go as smoothly as predicted. From the bushes shot three arrows, which whizzed past their heads, and bounced harmlessly off the robot.
"Hey, the hell was that for?!" Deserver yelled, pushing up his sleeve, ready to fight whoever showed up.
"Wait!" came the voice from behind him.
"Say what?" Animak turned back to see Angie. She looked particularly serious and focused, like she could take them on herselves. "Wait...don't tell me you're gonna try to take whoever's out there on by yourself?" Their assialants turned out to be bandits--five of them.
"That's exactly what I'm gonna do. Don't worry, I can make quick work of these guys, they're nothing a good designer like me can't handle," Angie said, cracking her knuckles.
She took out seven cards, each of them holding a picture of clothing with a title on them. "Now, which one should I choose..Ah! I know!" She took out a card with red on the back and a drawing of a radio. It started to glow, and then her clothes shined a bright white and started to dissolve and reform...

Alexandy tried to focus his power through the key, in hopes of finding something to help them track the others easily, unfortunetly the key's magic signature was to weak to trace, but still easy to remember, at least they could tell if any key they find is the real deal. Alex sighed and tucked the key in his backpack for now and followed Perry's lead in relaxing a little, laying back and enjoying the cool breeze as they floated through clear skys.
(Noted, will try harder to prevent in the future.0

...
No results, none. Zip. Zero; for all of the research I've done, there's nothing to show for it.
Yes, it's hard to believe it's already been a month. It almost seems distant now; the memories of my friends back home. They're all probably so worried about me...
"Good luck."
"Be safe."
"Have fun!"
"Don't do anything dangerous."
I assured everyone I'd do what they asked. I'm a good liar like that- it's not a big deal. So what, I've gotten a few cuts and scrapes? All part of the journey.
So what? My backpack full of personal items was stolen, I'm out of cheddar and clothes and I've been pickpocketing to get by? So what if all I have left is my handbag? ...It's all part of the journey.
Someone told me I look sick. Yeah, I guess I'm a bit pale. Meh. Not a huge deal; I've just been working extra hard lately.
Last week, I heard a rumor. Someone in a bar said that he knew where all of the keys were. Every one.
He was just showing off- mostly. The only part of his story that seemed to ring true was the fact that there was a key HERE. In this town, somewhere; my research data seemed to back that much up.
Then he said that I was underaged and told me to leave. Ugh.
...So I've been wandering out in the snow for hours now, with nothing but my data and that one stranger's word! It's so freezing out here, I swear my nose is about to fall off.
...Fall.
...Off.
Serious business, frostbite. I don't want to catch it, so I'll keep moving unless I see something. I hope I get lucky today; I mean, I've got snow in places I don't think I even have.
...If nothing turns up, this will be the fifth time. I hope that all of this hard work pays off.
...These keys are the only chance I have.
