Basing your story on something rather than trying to be original? For shame!
(Every story gains inspiration from somewhere. I can assure you, this story is not fanfiction in any shape or form. I just have three sources of inspiration.

I'm going to go shower now and go to work. If the forum isn't down tonight *crossfingers* I should be able to do multiple updates tonight.)
Don't worry, I know what you meant.

I just wanted an excuse to say "for shame".

Honestly at this point I'm such a loop of joking and not joking and excuses that I'm not even sure if I was serious when I wrote that anymore.

It's too confusing.

This game would be so much fun if we all had individual characters, but that'd probably be too much work for Karilyn....

Don't even start. Karilyn is already putting a lot of work into running this whole thread.

It'd be a roleplay thread instead, then.

Or Dungeons and Dragons...

*you rolled a 6, a giant rock falls and crushes you to death*

But yeah, I think this thread is the best thing since sliced bread!

I agree, although, I wish I had joined earlier so I could force summon some zombies without the room being cooked.

(Oh, no, I'm sorta doing bits of RPG gags, from every RPG I can think of; Zork, Dungeons and Dragons, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, and Pokemon, among others, are all being inspirations for some of my gags.

Probably my favorite gag I've came up with so far is "The Elaborate Item Name with Too Many Adjectives" gag that I keep running into the ground. Which is a direct reference to all the ancient 30 year old text based adventures that used to come on those nice 5 inch floppy disks. It's sorta a loving teasing poke at what was some very silly stuff, that nobody really realized was silly way back then.

For another example, the "You are on fire. The fire is burning you." thing that I said numerous times in the last story post, was in my mind a direct reference to Pokemon's annoying tendency to tell you status effects every turn, in a very repetitive fashion.

Tyranitar's Sandstream whipped up a sandstorm!
A Sandstorm started blowing!
The Sandstorm rages!
Dragonite is buffed by the Sandstorm!
Dragonite was damaged by Sandstorm!
Tyranitar is unaffected by the Sandstorm!
The Sandstorm continues to rage!

It's a nightmare running Sandstorm on your team. And may god have mercy on your soul if you are running Sandstorm in a 2v2 match.)

I'm not soulless. I have plenty of souls. They're just not mine.

Karilyn, that was actually the first thing I thought of when I read that.
...so uh... good job.
