Gallade's younger sister, Ralts, is a very strong-willed girl. Although her brother has been disowned by their parents, she makes a point to visit him every day she can at his store. Gallade adores her.

Ten year olds always have "crushes" on teenagers. They're not really crushes, they just like that teenager for no reason at all.
It makes sense for her to have a nonsensical not-crush on someone older. That's just what kids do
