Hello! I am in an engineering design course (HS) And we were tasked with making hypothetical infrastructure for a project. I've calculated a location from the amtrak station in Milwaukee and a location near the kohls center in Madison would be good locations for stations. A bullet train between both of these locations traveling at 200 miles per hour would make the distance between these 2 locations 22 minutes. Between upgrading track, laying new track, and creating a new station in the heart of Madison, I've estimated this project would cost $2 Billion.
We are not graded on how the legislation would be,
We are graded on economic viability, efficiency, and probability the project would be successful in surveying companies sydney(given it would pass legislation and funding would be secured)
I am also tasked with asking the opinions of people to see what they think. What are your thoughts?
