Online Marketing: Question

I apologize if I post it in the wrong subreddit. I am young graduate and I am having my interview at a online marketing agency that are working with affiliate marketing. So far every task but this is clear to me. I never did this subject during my university (I am not coming from economy but sociology background).

"Task 4: Calculate the target section CPCs in the table in relation to the historical section CPAs and section CPCs with a formula so that the sections reach their target CPA. Once you have determined the target Section CPCs verify email online all you have to do is determine the corresponding CPC adjustments based on the campaign CPC with a formula. You have the performance and section bidding data to assist you".

Now the separate KPIs are clear to me but this part sounds more difficult than I think it is due to unclear description. Could someone give me a quick rundown on what exactly is needed to be done here and if there are some good guides available? I want to train it by myself but cannot find any right information online so far.
