There's a book of a webcomic i want to order but
1. I have no cheddar
2. Even if i did have cheddar, i have no way of getting that cheddar onto the internet to pay for the book, cuz i have no credit card
3. My parents have been moody lately, and i've been costing them a lot of cheddar with my clothing class, and my cap&gown and class ring
4. Even if they were in a good mood, and would be pop flyin' to spend the <$20 that the book costs (even with shipping, handling, and taxes, it's about 18-19 bucks).. it would be difficult to ask them for it.
Because the book i want is Chapter One of StarFighter. It comes with goodies that HamletMachine won't post on the internet! ;_; I WANT

Just firing shots randomly into the air here.
My parents figured out I was into anthropomorphic animal/monster ladies about the time I was going to college, and most of my college friends new about it too. My parents generally don't have an issue with it because they're artistic types too (seriously - most of my walls are covered with my sketches of half-dressed anthropomorphic ladies). The Idiotic Oracle wrote:But srsly.
my dad DOES know about my preference in graphic material leans towards m/m, but how do i ask him to buy me futuristic gay porn?
It's awkward just thinking about it.
it's awkward just asking for advice about it.
By the time I went to university I was pretty open about my interest in anthropomorphs - I've found educated people to be generally accepting of this kind of thing. You'll come to realise that most decent people (including parents) aren't too concerned about other people's quirks and oddities.
I personally don't have a problem with anybody's interests here (that I know of), yours included.
Buying something like this though - might be better if you used your own cheddar.

He doesn't really need to know, does he? Unless it's really obvious, you could make up some excuse. Usually works for me. It's a tried-and-tested method!

...what? Just because they're parents now doesn't mean they weren't as perverted as you are at some point!
MENTAL IMAGERY!
"I'm in it for the art, really! Look at that dynamic composition of the reverse cowgirl, the gleam of the setting sun upon his abdomen... This is art, dad! This is true art!"Torizo wrote:Tell him you really like the art.The Idiotic Oracle wrote:But srsly.

I'm not gonna ask my mom, she's too much of a prude.
And my dad is the only one of my extended family who has discovered my secret stash of m/m stuff. >> He told me it's fine, seeing as he likes lesbian porn and all. XD
It's jsut hard to ask him to actually buy it for me, though. I supposed he would though if i ask him when he's in a really good mood.. cuz i have no cheddar to buy it myself.
