Re: What makes you pop flyin'?
The only fried chicken I really like is Raising Canes
and that shit is GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
I love it so much. I always order way too much and eat all of it then feel violently ill a short while later - but at the same time... pop flyin'
Not a fan of any chicken with bones in it, too. I hate to pick around all carefully and boring-like
I also am not a fan of wings for this reason. And the reason that they cost way too much for whats a bite of chicken (with a bone in the middle to make it annoying to eat) and some sauce

Re: What makes you pop flyin'?
yeah ill eat canes but it's bodaciously just because of the sauce. and i like the crispness of their batter. but chicken is just soooooo dry to me tbh and has no flavour x:
i typically only eat boneless wings (again, the sauce makes it actually have flavour,) but it's not because i don't like bones, it's because i have a Thing with sticky/wet stuff on my hands. so dry rub bone-in wings are fine, but the saucey ones are Bad.
i'm hoping that maybe much like the rabbit, i will like chicken that i raise myself better. like honestly rabbit tastes just like chicken but for some reason i like it waaay better. but chickens have more meat on them and it'd be convenient to do the whole chicken breast as an easy/cheap meal thing y'know?

Plus, eggs! And since they aren't treated for commercial stores, they will last like, four to six months in the fridge, if you don't use them/give them away as quick as the hens lay them.

Re: What makes you pop flyin'?
i already buy farm eggs from the feed store and they last foREVER it's wonderful bc i love eggs but i tend to eat a bunch in like, spurts, not a few over time lmao, mostly cos i rarely eat breakfast
chickens are also fantastic garbage disposals. they're omnivores so you can just toss all your food scraps to them and they love it. the rabbits are nice because any veggie scraps are spoken for but when i have a lot of like, gristle off some meat or like the remaining carcass of an animal i boiled and deboned that i can't do anything with it's like wow i wish i had chickens/pigs to feed this to

i need sauce on this sauce
Wait a minute.
Where are you exactly? Because I'm pretty sure the Danny's here isn't a franchise, it's just a local fried food place. Is there another chicken store by you that happens to share the name?shazza wrote:a good partner will love you even though you eat danny's like a hooligan because honestly like how else are you supposed to eat it??? it's just such perfect, greasy, crispy perfection

seriously though i pity all yall that don't live in the deep south our food is fantastic and definitely won't kill you

Yeah, the food is good, and so is the rent in a lot of places,
...but everything else kinda sucks.

I'm sorry, but am I missing something?
I'll try southern chicken when I get down there, but my grandma cooks chicken very well. And she's Minnesotan.
Yep, youbetcha.

Re: What makes you pop flyin'?
Apparently, when I was doing rough estimates of my salary (since there are multiple sections to a teacher's salary in Washington) for the sake of budgeting the move, the numbers I got caused me to underestimate my income by $1630. Even after an estimated 28% tax rate, that'll still give me about an extra $100 a month for savings. Hooray!

Re: What makes you pop flyin'?
I have the best neighbor.
On one side. On the left side I have an annoying neighbor who houses down his patio every night and screams at football.
On the right side, I live next to Toby.
Toby is great - He's super friendly and really sociable! Good lord does he have a lot of energy though - if we're every outside at the same time he bodaciously RUNS over to say hello and hang out.
He also likes to roll around in the grass and lick my hand
he's a dog
(he's a maltypoo and I love him to bits, the tiny fluffy ball of energy. I don't even know the name of my actual neighbor he belongs to, but I don't need to as long as I can pet Toby every now and again)

Neighbor dogs are best dogs. I get to see them while they're all pop flyin' outside, but I am in no way obligated to actually keep up with taking care of them.

is food all you talk about anymore
I've figured out my ideal Pita Pit order.
Gyro on wheat
Grilled corn and onions
Red pepper hummus
Romaine
Spinach
Cheddar
Tzatziki
Good shit and the price isn't that bad either.

Re: What makes you pop flyin'?
My fancy dishes (well, for me they're fancy. They're sturdy enough for normal use if I decide to, but nice enough to be reserved for special occasions, since I think the concept of super delicate china dishes is fucking stupid) aren't actually discontinued! It looked like they would be, and I was really bummed out, because they aren't sold in actual sets, you have to buy each piece individually, so I was still short a couple extra dinner plates, a serving bowl, saucers, tea cups, and sandwich plates.
Also, my main dishes (which were a set assembled by my great grandmother in the 70's, and as such, are ALSO discontinued) have easy to find, affordable replacement pieces from various warehouse clear-outs and people trading in old dishes for credit on new ones. WHOOOOOO. A few plates, bowls, and a gravy boat have been broken over the years, as well as some serving dishes going missing, so this is great, considering I seem to love blue, old ladyish things.
(TLDR Riku has officially become a boring old lady who gets excited about sandwich plates.)

Re: What makes you pop flyin'?
delivery timeframe for all my orders is going well, except that my gasket sealing plastic totes are arriving a day late (tomorrow)
Cimexa arrived on time
air mattress arrived on time
Temprid SC arrived on time
tomorrow when my sealing totes arrive, I shall begin washing and double drying everything that can be dried twice
everything else... i guess its going into longterm storage to kill any fucking bedbugs in it
6-18 months (depending on climate) to kill all bed bugs by starvation
they're such assholes
maybe this isn't a pop flyin' post thread, but since i cimexad and sprayed my entire apartment with alcohol, I saw 2 bugs - one mid development, one nymph
and now I've sprayed today, inside and outside
so they can fuck offfff
i threw out my bed, chair, table, going to also unload a dresser tomorrow
that's the mistake these bed bugs made
i dont give a shit about anything
i'll set myself on fire if it helps
it would help
i did consider suicide on the first night after reading really distressing stories
but its going well so we'll see if it comes to that later
