The tiny grocery I usually go to always has insane sales on meat. Wednesday I went there just to get stuff for my lunches at work and I noticed they were selling this bigass piece of pork loin for $5.50/kg instead of the regular $12/kg so I got it and I also got a turnip and potatoes and carrots like an adult and it's been slowly cooking for 9 hours today and it's the single best meal I've ever made and I have enough for three days and it only used half of the pork meaning and get to do it again later.

Got back home about an hour ago from seeing TWRP's live show in Dallas! :D

It was such a fucking blast oh my god. They're all amazing and I adore every single one of them (but Sung the least and IDK why I think its the traffic cone hat)
Meouch and Phobos are fucking incredible, and the bits of character that Havve adds in his glowy-eyed way were perfect.
They got in a fight because the audience demanded JAZZ MUSIC (at Meouch's urging), so when they came back for the encore it was just Sung at first and he picked up his keytar and played a few jazzy notes, then Havve ran out and tried to shut him down before Meouch appeared and played a few more jazz notes, then Phobos rejoined them and they played a few more songs.

Also they dissed on Ninja Sex Party a bit, which was hilarious.

GOOD TIMES

The fishing trip was... a mixed bag, but we ended with plenty of meat so I'm calling it a good day.
The A in this case stands for Armageddon. As in, Armageddon a boner because this plane has a fucking HOWITZER sticking out of it.

Got back my motivation after months of depressing apathy.

Highlights:
A good week at work, with actually nourishing human interactions
I implemented drag-and-drop and sliders in my game
Thunderstorms
My mother and sister visited twice and stayed for supper once (I believe that was the first time either of them ate something I cooked and it was neat)
My mother fixed my computer chair for me so now I have an actual computer chair and gave me a clothesline as a delayed birthday gift
Strawberries
The clothes I ended up buying two weeks ago turned out nicer than I thought
My upstairs neighbor has two cats that like to peek when I'm on my balcony
Two upcoming mondays off in a row because Canada
My hair is now long enough to flop around

So, my career path has changed a lot in the past week (though I've been thinking about it for longer)

My school offered me a job as an administrative assistant/testing coordinator/student services person/whatever title they come up with! Which is really nice, because I was looking for a teaching job, not really finding a good one, and then not being super jazzed about it anyways because I wasn't planning on teaching long-term, just long enough to get the mandatory experience for becoming a school counselor later on.

Well, thanks to advice from a lot of people and some of my own research, I decided to shift directions slightly into becoming a "regular" counselor (LPC). Which is overall better for me because A) I don't have to deal with public school admin politics B) I don't need to get teaching experience and C) it offers me a lot more flexibility in what kind of job I take later on. I may even end up staying at my current school and being promoted into more of a counselor position. Or I could go into mental health counseling, or academic advising at a university, or something else. Just more options are open to me.

Plus, this new job will be WAY less stressful, I won't have to take work home with me, and I can get started with grad school sooner. Plus, I really like my coworkers. Everyone is super supportive of me here, you don't always find that at any old job.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have a friend that can point out my prejudice and ignorance in a friendly, helpful method.

I want to improve myself as a person, and having someone that can help you with that that without making you feel too shit about not knowing something is wonderful.
