I like America, even if it can be incredibly stupid. I haven't lived in any other country, but Ireland was very nice when I visited it.

I don't understand it either Decker, though you are aware of just who was president up until a year ago?
He may have something to do with our more pointless and rash actions recently.

I was mostly referring to "Having a holiday to celebrate how a holiday has just passed" and also "Having holidays for the sake of having days off work"

Uhhhhhhh... Boxing day is a British holiday, not an American holiday. Labor Day is the only American which hits the second qualifier.

Britain: 1
America: 1
Looks pretty even to me.

News Flash: British can be just as ignorant of other world cultures as Americans. More at the top of the hour.

I'm not soulless. I have plenty of souls. They're just not mine.

Okay, that was seriously not cool and did not add to the discussion in here at all.
[5/13/2013 11:55:56 PM] Mr.Mander: "Obama announces Boys Love japanese textbook manga anthology" WOULD make a much better headline

It's a joke.

Seriously though, people taking too much pride in their nationality has historically been a precipitant of riots, social conflict and/or wars.

See: Orange Marches, Northern Ireland.

I could give other examples but that's about the best example I have to hand.

Also, try removing the rods from your asses, and not taking everything I say as a personal attack.

Whatevs, I fucking love America even though I know we have a loooot of really dumb people and some problems. At least we have a country that encourages political criticism and stuff. If something terrible happens, it's reported on for weeks. Decker, I really don't understand your holiday qualm like, at all. Holidays like Colombus Day just give students off of school, but teachers still go in for work planning and such. Government workers also get a few of those off too, but seriously. If you want to hate America hate us because we have a stupid Christian population, treat gays as sub-citizens, and have a somewhat mediocre public school system.

You know, real things.
please stop that right now

Hey.

I'm a christian and I isn't stupid.

Also: What's with that stereotype anyways? Oh wait nvm.
I kinda get it. I never really have been blinded by faith and have sort of been looked down upon for it.

Sorry, I worded it badly. I didn't mean that all Christians were stupid, but that America has some of the dumbest ones ever.
