Yeah I pretty much saw that coming. I believe LRLs story, mostly because she came back and told it. I don't know of any troll who would do that, and there is really no benefit to it. Oh, and I have no benefit to not believing her; mostly because if it's a lie, it'll be hilarious to see her fuck it up later on.

But yeah, other than the guy getting on her computer, there would be no way for him to find that she was posting on this site. So if her boyfriend was posting, it had to be either him on her computer, or her pretending to be him.

Anyway. LRL, you should tell your mother not to let your boyfriend into the house anymore, and password protect your computer. Always ALWAYS a good idea, for more reasons than one. Make sure that when you are inactive on the computer for 2-3 minutes, it goes to screensaver, and asks for a password.

On a side note, I change my IP address several times a week for the purpose of various other activities not related to this site. I must have like, 40 IP addresses listed in the moderator panel.

Also that's a pretty snazzy panel. The last board I was a moderator on was a Proboards forum 6 years ago...

I do not envy Dark and Merlin in the slightest. Being a moderator sucks.

I don't care in the slightest whether her story is true or not! As far as I'm concerned:
1: I'm going to treat her exactly the same way, only making fun of her horrible choice in boyfriends in the same way I make fun of Decker for not understanding stairs.
2: I'm also going to laugh at all the "OMG someone might have lied to me" posts!

Especially Bacon! Who seemed to have changed opinions about 3 times in the whole thing!

The IP check shows what accounts were used by that IP recently, and not what IP an account always uses. Either that or it was what IP the account was created with, I dunno. Either way, it's a more-than possibility he just used her computer once and made the rest of the posts at home.
