“Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.”
-James Dean
At least two thirds of our miseries spring from human stupidity, human malice and those great motivators and justifiers of malice and stupidity, idealism, dogmatism and proselytizing zeal on behalf of religious or political idols.

karilyn, that's just... just... i...

i'm inclined to say you don't know a thing about religion :/

on the topic of life, i remember reading The Sea-Wolf by Jack London last year, especially the quote, "Life is a cheap and plentiful thing, except your own is the most precious thing you have". paraphrased, but something like that.

i don't think most christians think there's some big playground in the sky and there's some big man with a beard there waiting, and if they don't do good things, they will be with a bad red man with a trident burning in hell.

that's what i call borderline superstition.

All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. All these aspirations are directed toward ennobling man's life, lifting it from the sphere of mere physical existence and leading the individual towards freedom.

Ignorance is slavery
Knowledge is freedom
I'm not soulless. I have plenty of souls. They're just not mine.
