i usually craft up some odd persona (usually male, but female once in a while too :P) for every new forum or something i go to. which is why i get alarmed when people find out i'm such and such on such and such.
but yeah, i still act the same.
also, i find it funny to contemplate a friendship between an atheist and a christian. "oh, there's this really great guy, he's one of my best friends, but i'm sure he'll go burn in hell." or, conversely, "oh, i know this guy, he's really cool, but he's an idiot who believes in hallucinations and fairytales"
the point is, beliefs are stupid way to categorize people, and it's even stupider when we think we're "spiritually" or "intellectually" better or some shit like that. we're all people, products of our own environments. i hate thinking of people as a list, as a collection of numbers and categorizations.

That's because, and I'm being dead serious about this (as sad as it is), not trolling.Decker wrote:You see it all the time anyway. Think about it -
A girl on the internet uses male characters, because she doesn't want to be treated like a woman. That's fine by everyone
A guy on the internet uses female characters, bec-
He's instantly regarded as perverted. No matter what the reason is.
Double standards suck.
People seem to consider it an upgrade to go from a woman to a man, and a downgrade to go from a man to a woman.
Ever seen like, those Maury shows or whatever? They'll have the MtFs come on, and the show will be all about them playing the "guess which one was born male" game. But then they'll also do shows where they have some FtMs come on, and the show is all like "Let's hear their life story"
Sexism, hard at work. Men get respect. Women get booty call.
...
EDIT: I have too much self respect to play a male character in an MMO or whatever. The way I figure it, if I have to play a male to get respect from someone, then they obviously wouldn't be able to respect the player behind the character, and I shouldn't give a rat's fuck what they think about me. I can't make everyone like me, hell, I couldn't be friends with everyone even if everyone liked me. Ain't enough hours in the day.
Might as well make sure that I like me. Play what I wanna, and don't let anybody discourage me from having fun. Whether that be playing a female character, or hell, any class or role I wanna play in an MMO. Tank? Why not? Or hell, I'll heal too, regardless of the stereotypes about it. Fuck, I'm playing a healer now.
*yawns* I'm playing the 2nd most sexually harassed class in the game I'm playing right now. Priests got some serious leg to them.

I don't really care if people want to start shit with me. Just helps me learn quicker who NOT to be friends with... Though I do kinda feel sorry for dancers. Lordie they are naked

I'm not soulless. I have plenty of souls. They're just not mine.

My internet persona is a kid who is about 15 years old and looks exactly like me and lives in the exact same place I do and knows all the same people I do and is pretty much exactly like me in every way.
EXCEPT FOR ONE DIFFFERENCE:
...Okay, I lied, there is no difference. My internet persona is me. Deal with it.

It's pretty obvious that the reason that women get insulted less for playing as a male character is because:
1: Most videogames force you to play as a male character
2: People always insult the opposite gender (not counting homosexuals or asexuals) notably less than the same gender. And most gamers are male.
Of course, nah, it's OBVIOUSLY because everyone thinks men are superior! Totally! Including you lot, apparently!
