Actually, I have a feud with mass schizophrenia that is excused in the name of religious tolerance. No, your imaginary friend is not talking to you. No, your imaginary friend is not imparting his/her holy will upon you. Stop worshiping your mother fucking imaginary friend. Take your goddamn pills now you sick fuckers.Game Angel wrote:Actually, she has a feud with Christianity.Defenestrator2.0 wrote:Seriously, this feud you have with religion.... just let it go already.

I'm not soulless. I have plenty of souls. They're just not mine.

The closest thing to mass schizophrenia is mass schizophrenia.
Buddhism doesn't force you to worship a god. Based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, commonly known as Buddha, Buddhism is a religion that focuses on enlightenment and sympathy. It's about ending suffering and achieving nirvana. And yes, it is a religion.
You are the complete opposite of Buddhism. You're intolerant, tactless, pretentious and worse than these "sick fuckers" you're calling out.
I would gladly be friends with an ultra-religious person rather than you.

Karilyn, get off your fucking soapbox and find something to talk about other than religion. If you refrain from taking a stance so extreme that it sounds batshit insane, then you may rejoin the discussion. But until then, either make nice, or stay away from this thread. You are not only steering this topic away from its intended purpose (intelligent discussion), you are forcibly removing the intelligent clause from it.
By the way, when I've stated in earlier posts that I don't like you, it's not because I believe in Christianity (despite its absurd elements, which I am completely aware of), and it's not because you're gay. I don't like you as a person. I have nothing against atheists, and I have nothing against gay people, so don't whip out your victim complex.
I don't even understand why theists and atheists can't co-exist peacefully. Why do the two always have to be taking potshots at one another? Nothing is achieved and nobody advances as a result of it. So why can't we just respect one another's choice and just get on with our lives? Life's too short to bicker and argue. If people can't accept that somebody might make a different choice than themselves (as long as they're being civil about it), then they are no better than a child. Accepting other people's decisions is the true sign of maturity. Besides, the whole process doesn't even make you feel better. It never feels good to constantly put down another person, because it really does weigh on your conscience. Just like how I don't enjoy putting you down, Karilyn. I don't do it because I want to; I do it because I have to. Stopping the vicious cycle of theists being intolerant against atheists (and vice versa) has to begin with one side rising above the childishness. You can't rely on others to do the work for you because true change starts internally.
NOTE: Karilyn, I expect you to read my post in its entirety before replying to me.

So this one time, at religion class, we were asked our faith, and we had all these sorts of Christian people around: greeks, russians, romans, all that funky white boy stuff. Some muslims, too.
I was the only one, at that time, who was without a faith to a deity of any kind. I was acceptant of other people's religions and tolerated them, as I try to do now. I did not consider myself as an Atheist, as I saw them as people who directly opposed religion in all things, I thought them alien and odd.
Instead, I found myself deep in thought about every religion and deeply intrigued by it. I began reading into various religious sources to find out how they ticked, and how the basic principles behind those faiths.
Most of all, I learned to respect these people.

i honestly dont know how to believe in a god. i mean maybe im just too much of a "seeing is believing" kinda guy? idk but i would LIKE to believe there is a god. fuck id love it, the possiblity that theres absolutely nothing beyond this life is absofuckinglutely terrifying to me.
i do find all religion interesting, but some of the stuff in certain things like Christianity kinda piss me off. like the whole "thou shall not kill" deal. it applies to everyone, which means you arent allowed to kill "infidels" and shit like that. im looking at you crusades.
now i can see self defense being used, but that shit wasnt SD i can say that much right now lol

this is my tf2 shit

They... they do. I don't think I've ever heard of a widespread non-peaceful conflict between theists and atheists before.Defenestrator2.0 wrote:I don't even understand why theists and atheists can't co-exist peacefully.

Sorry, I misspoke. What I meant was 'I don't understand why the two groups cannot be civil towards each other.'Plasma wrote:They... they do.
