So it is common or does it only happen some of the time?Torizo wrote:Actually, that's referred to infancy amnesia or something like that.Miss StarSeed wrote:Hell, I don't even remember anything before I was 3 or 4. And since supposedly those "special years" where you really have to nurture children is only until age 6, that means I only member half of them. Way to go, brain of mine.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I only skimmed a few posts, so I'm purposely going to try not to say anything new and just say my personal opinion.
With the mental disabled/retard thing - As I've said before, from the ages of 6 - 18, I lived with my mentally disabled aunt. I've never been made aware of what exactly she has, suffice to say she indefinitely is not completely there. She had difficulties speaking (for example, she could not say my name, Amanda, and instead called me Mannie-Jane), she couldn't read, she couldn't use the toilet on her own, she couldn't seem to fully comprehend emotions, she had the personality traits of a child (throwing actual slamming-fists-on-floor-and-screaming hissy fits), ridiculous pain tolerance (she fell down the stairs and broke her leg when left unattended at a "special kids school", and walked around for the rest of the day on it until it swelled and turned black-purple without complaint), and she... collected things...
Not just things like coins or toys, which she also collected. She collected TV guides, coffee cups, towels, empty boxes (usually of hair dying kits), stuffed animals, video tapes, star trek things, books (she still couldn't read them, and it's not like they were picture books...), and then... food items. When my family was in the process of moving, I (13 or 14 at the time) had to help my aunt (somewhere in her 30s) clean out her room. Over the course of a day, I cleaned out of just one corner of her room: a dozen rock hard cookies, at least 5 rancid milk-based drink containers, over 30 bags of microwaveable popcorn she heated up and then stored, Halloween candy from years ago, dirty coffee fliters, and then various bags of rotten chips and adult diapers she was trying to treat like cloth underwear (folding them up and putting away clean ones, putting the dirty ones in with her laundry). It... was... disgusting... and I've refused to help my aunt clean her room since.
One of the scariest things I ever thought was the realization I don't think I'll ever be able to handle having a child with a disability. I talk about not wanting to add to the over population issue, but it's all bluff when it comes down to the fact I'm just utterly fucking terrified of having a child I wouldn't be able to raise "normally", and my baby will have to struggle for the rest of its entire life just to survive and be pop flyin'...
The leash thing - Honestly, it might just not be a fetish thing, but a bus is a pretty small public place, and people are entitled to their opinions and could ask you to take it off/deny you access to the bus. That's about all I gotta say on it.
Humanity being faithful - I don't know. There'll always be assholes and there will always be mistakes. And as a species we do have sex for reasons that can complicate the whole one mate at a time thing. I doubt we could be faithful as a whole.
But there are those who can be faithful from beginning to end.

YEah sure, why not?Bacon wrote:And as not a whole?Solean wrote:As a whole no. We have too many assholes in the world.
There are plenty of couples that don't have those problems.

I'm not soulless. I have plenty of souls. They're just not mine.

I don't really understand that anyway.Torizo wrote:Sex has become so glorified that the chance of that happening is pretty much nil.
If you have a bad sex life with your partner, what the FUCK is wrong with you?
If you've been together for any period of time, if you actually gave a rat's fuck about each other, you'd have found a lot of each other's thingies that really get them hot and horny. Knowing each other's body's intimately, and how to really turn a person on, is something special that comes from being together with the same person.
That level of knowledge of each other, is not something that some random person you have sex with could match.

But it is widely belived that if you can please one person, you can please any person and that makes you a ladies man/woman/whatever.Karilyn wrote:stuff
And then there are people who go "oh my gaaawd i hooked up with this guy at the bar and he knew EXACTLY WHAT SPOTS TO TOUCH it's faaaaaaate". Or coincidence. But saying it's fate is nice and fluffy and makes you feel like you're in a movie.

That's just it, too many people take that feeling for granted and just go pick up a hooker or a drunk person at a bar. I feel the same way you do, it's a feeling unmatched. It's just that most people think that the only way they can be pop flyin' is if they do as many people as they can.Karilyn wrote: I don't really understand that anyway.

I suppose it comes in levels...
Level 1: Gross incompetence... "Penis goes where?"
Level 2: Still Grossly Incompetent... "It feels good for me so it must feel good for her too"
Level 3: Somewhat less Incompetent... "Okay so that nubby thing above her vagina is important!"
*yada yada*
Level 10: Very "Skilled" person... "facebattle her body, give good head, fuck her slowly, caress her body, blah blah"
CRANK IT UP TO ELEVEN: Level 10, plus knowing the individualized hot spots.
