I'm making sure it's not that someone somewhere was just trying to justify shenanigans by shouting "science" and running away.
That's a pretty horrible accusation to make dude.

When I was young the exact same thing happened and my parents aren't an ounce religious

To be fair I think my mum might've been slightly religious prior to giving birth to a kid with frankendick.

It's a horrible accusation to make, but it still happens, and if such a thing was actually the case then I wanted that to be established earlier rather than later.

I've known people who were circumcised because their parents were religious, but when asked about it they said "Oh well, there are medical reasons to do it..."

Hell...I WAS one of those people until my parents finally admitted that it was, in fact, purely religious.

Will just get this out there. So you know me better if I choose to in fact stay here.

I am Christian. A nerdy Christian... yep.
Pro-life.

I disagree with gay marriage. Now, I am not Westboro Baptist. Christians don't like them either, don't try to compare...

Being a Christian, I won't have sex before marriage, but there's no way to easily stop everyone else from doing so. Besides me simply asking... oh well.

Ok, now that you know me, I can bring on the funnies.

You know the science behind homosexuality, right?

Honestly, no.

I try to steer from those topics. Always leads to jerks and arguments...

Then why bring it up if you're not prepared to defend your point?

Other than religion, do you have a valid reason to dislike homosexuality?

be nice to the newbie

newbie, be more stern about your points. if you don't support gay marriage, make valid points as to why

everybody else, be fair. remember how you were when you were new

Any sort of "valid" argument against same-sex marriage that tends to be trotted out (slippery slope, unable to properly raise kids, etc.) have been consistently proven to be full of shit anyway.

I have a story of a circumcision going HORRIBLY WRONG.

When my male cousin was born, my aunt had decided to get him circumcised, for really no reason I can remember besides the fact that the doctors told her so and it was free anyways. But in the process of them doing so, the doctors had messed up , and had BURNT off the tip of my cousins "weewee". Now this left him in AGONY, he could not urinate and he had to wear a sort of cast over it until it healed, which I maybe think took two years?

My mom had to take care of him because my aunt couldn't handle doing it.

This is why I don't discriminate when it comes to someones tender parts, I'm not about to tell someone they can or cannot have parts.

regardless, give him a chance to assert his opinions and calmly retort back with your own

Hello new forum member, I am also a Christian and I support gay marriage. Out of curiosity, how much of the bible have you read and studied? I haven't studied it as much as I would like to, but I've found no reason to be against the LGBT community based on what I have seen in the books.

Yeah, same here.
I've always came away with the message of "Love your neighbor"

So I got a question for you: if the bible said being gay was like, super duper holy everyone should go down the homo path, would you still be against it? Is the bible the only reason you're against being gay? The bible also says not to eat shellfish, are you against shellfish too? You gotta have a reason behind it besides someone telling you so.

Also, lose the neon green text, dude. It's an eyesore.
