In other words, go for it. Just make sure the writing is actually good and you have interesting elements to flesh it out, and you should be good to go.

we were talking about superpowers in my third period today.
top two original superpowers were:

the ability to make anybody spontaneously vomit dead babies
"hey tom!"
"hey joe-BLAAAAAWWWGHHH"

the ability to make anybody spontaneously crap their pants
(because who wants to rob banks or cause crime with THAT sloshing around your drawers?)

You guys are really into spontaneity. And expelling things from within.

There's some deep physiological trauma lurking behind you, Zach.

Oh there's always plenty of new superpowers.

It's just that many of them delve into the strange and possibly useless.

Yes, this isn't something for this topic. It was okay with the criticism of a story idea, but now its gotten silly.

So I'm kind of a nutjob and actually think robots are going to kill us all one day.

I'm more into the zombie apocalypse scenario. Not rise of the living dead, mind you, but a disease that rots the flesh and mind and infects people through bites and what not. Skynet'll have a tough job dealing with that one.
