What?
The thing is, most people, when they say "Americans", they mean people from the United States of America, because it's easier saying "Americans" than saying "United States of Americans" or whatever. It's an odd name.
So, an explorer is walking through the desert when he stumbles on a body perfectly preserved in the sands. Upon inspecting the body, the man gets excited, takes multiple pictures with his cellphone, and goes back to his camp and says "Guys, come quick. I have found the body of Adam, the first man!" The other guys look at the pictures he took on the phone and agree with one another that it was truly the first man.
What on the body convinced them that it was him?
